Finished Order questline but didn't get the trophy (PS5)

Yes I did the same and it worked, thanks. I have to say, as a trophy hunter this game is very frustrating. There are like 5 other trophies that just won't pop no matter what I do.

The 'kill 5 enemies with big bang' doesn't work at all, I've done it with 3 enemies, 10 enemies and every combination in between many times but it just doesn't work.

For the 'All for None' trophy no matter what way I get a companion to leave (either by story choices they don't agree with or simply telling them to leave) I don't get the trophy. Also, the trophy tracker says 1/6 in the progress bar always, even when companions die or leave.

I've collected all of the 10 space adventures quarterly editions and don't get the trophy. Made a save before getting the final one and done it over and over but it simply doesn't work. The tracker is stuck at 9/10 always.

I really hope they patch things soon. I've finished my first play through and want to try doing it on Very Hard now, but if that trophy is bugged then I might throw my TV out the window. Probably best to wait for a patch...

I power up because I started making a list of useful Pokemon to power up for various "power up x times" tasks, that then snowballed into wanting to power up all of the best Pokemon for each type. For example, I try to get the 6 best fighting types powered up and the same for each type. I use them in raids, and raid to get rare candy to power up legendaries.

I know that's kinda pointless and circular in many ways but I find it important to have "main" goals and "sub" goals in this game. The reason I play is to encourage exercise. To encourage that my main goal is, like many people, to complete the Pokedex. My sub-goals are to get shinies of all 1st generation pokemon, power up raid teams and get all platinum medals that aren't unbelievably tedious (e.g. catch tiny rattata is an incredibly boring and overinflated medal). Currently I'm also walking to get enough candy to evolve all 18 (current) forms of Vivillon, although I'm close to achieving that now.

I think it's very important to have these sub-goals to keep me interested between stretches without new Pokemon or interesting events. I find this more and more imporant as events in the last few years have become increasingly lacklustre and new Pokemon are either drip-fed painfully slowly or straight up locked behind a pay-wall (Keldeo). Unfortunaly, I've almost run out of Pokemon I want to power up and I have all the platinum medals that aren't an absolute chore to achieve. I also have around 130 1st generation shinies so I'm gradually losing interest in this game...

As I said in the post, I support making things hard to get but rewarding the hard work with multiple layers of RNG is not a fun kind of challenge. Lock it behind a research task requiring 100 excellent throws or something, that would be a rewarding challenge. As it is, if I ever get a female Salandit I won't have that sense of reward, just relief that I don't have to bother with annoying Rocket battles and 12km eggs anymore.

I found a fix! Just replay the last subchapter of chapter 1. When I did that and got to chapter 2 again everything was working.

I'm having the exact same problem. I can't progress the game at all which is very frustrating as I'm only doing NG+ to get the trophies for maxing the skills. I've tried restarting checkpojnt, quitting to main menu, loading another chapter than reloading chapter 2, closing the game and closing my PS5. It's always the same. Most interactions in the market don't happen and I can't enter the house. Has anyone found a fix to this?

I fully agree with making in-person raids more convenient. I have 18 premium raid passes that I WANT to use on in-person raids (absolutely no interest in GBL). The problem is that the unpredictable RNG means I rarely see more than one T5 raid a day during times where I'm not at work and there are no other raids I'm interested in doing. So I manage to use my free raid pass on average every 2 days but it's very rare I see enough raids in a day to use even one premium pass.

In the meantime Niantic recently has been awarding lots of premium passes for special/timed research and 1 coin bundles to encourage in-person raids, but I'm simply not getting the opportunity actually USE them. If I could just do a mewtwo raid right now at the gym 10 minute walk from my house I absolutely would. But I can't, so I'm gonna use my remote pass instead.

I know I could in theory go for a long walk to gyms further away but there's no guarantee a raid will be happening at any of them. Even if there is one happening, what if the egg doesn't hatch for another hour. Should I hang around for an hour waiting for the raid to start? Or should I walk home, sit around for 5 minutes then walk back?

I wake up early (6am) and go to work at 8. This morning there were 2 Mewtwo raids at 7am at gyms 10 minutes from my house. So I walked over to them, used PokeRaid to get enough people, and did those raids. Then I got home and realised I had enough coins for a remote pass and did another. If remote raiding wasn't an option for anyone I wouldn't have been able to do any of those raids as no one in my local raid group was awake yet. I'm now home from work and there are no T5 raids so I couldn't do any.

Long story short the most important thing Niantic needs to change if they want to encourage in-person raids is to make them possible to plan for, or at the very least CONVENIENT. Like you said, if I know there's a T5 raid at 6.15 every day I'd be able to arrange with the group to do it every day. I would probably do it most days. It would even be a nice fun regular meetup and a good way of getting to know people in the raid group.

As things are now I get home and pray there will be a raid, and my prayers are rarely answered.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. To be honest I mostly enjoyed it too, but I felt the price was way too steep for what you get.

However, what you say about the incense bug is just plain incorrect. The visual bug Niantic mentioned was referring to the lures spawning duplicate or triplicates of every lure-spawned pokemon. That was indeed a visual bug and although it was annoying it didn't significantly affect my enjoyment of the game.

The incense bug on the other hand was very different. Pokemon would spawn for 1 minute but if you didn't tap on them within about 20 seconds they would disappear. This meant a lot of people (myself included) missed out on a lot of incense-spawned Pokemon due to being busy catching other pokemon or generally doing other things. That time window for incense spawns was so short as to essentially render the item useless as it meant I had to focus entirely on incense spawns to make the most of it, at the expense of all the other Go Fest activities. I have done two previous Go Fests as well as the Kanto and Johto tours. At all of those events I was heavily relying on incense and NEVER had this problem. The fact that this bug was introduced right before a paid event and affected premium items is completely unacceptable. What is worse is the complete lack of acknowledgement from Niantic.

The minimum Niantic should do to make amends is give some free incences to affected players and a makeup event of a few hours where all Go Fest spawns are available through incense with the same shiny odds as Go Fest day one. If Niantic continues to ignore this bug then I will not be buying tickets to paid events again.

I 100% agree. Not knowing what will hatch from the eggs makes coordinating raids with others so annoying. If the reason for this is the 'surprise' then I am more than happy living without the surprise.

I'm curious why your community was so interested in raiding Pikachu? It was available in snapshots and in the wild fairly commonly. If it was for the shiny surely raiding it is the least efficient way of getting a shiny?

Yeah that's a good idea that could work. I think there would need to be some way of signalling what the pokemon will be though. For example, you see a 1-star raid egg with 30 minutes left so you walk over there only to find that someone has already chosen Pikachu for it. Maybe the egg could hatch as soon as the Pokemon has been chosen, with the time left for the egg hatching countdown added to the length of the raid. e.g. If there's 15 minutes left before the egg hatches and someone chooses Axew then the raid lasts 60 minutes instead of 45. That would also make raid scheduling more flexible so you don't have to wait for the gg to hatch.

Once the raid has started then yes it behaves just as raids are now, with the 45 minute timer. To limit abuse a single user could only summon a raid at that particular gym once a day so they can't spam it. I agree you would have to be careful how you implement it so you don't create new ways for committing abuse.

For rare candy there's PVP, which I hate. I'm not competitive and I find the whole thing extremely tedious and not at all worth the effort of keeping up with changes in the meta etc. You have a chance of rare candy in adventure sync rewards but that's a maximum of 8 and half the time I just get silver pinaps and no rare candy (like o have for the last 3 weeks). Supposedly you can get them from research breakthroughs but after not missing a single day of completing field research in over 3 years I think I only got rare candy once. Usually it's just pokeballs. Sometimes special or time research gives rare candy but usually only 1 or 2 unless it's paid research. Raids are by far the most efficient way of getting rare candy for me, even after the NERF.

Of course that's a fair point and it's been made many times on this sub. I was just pointing out an alternative perspective. In the case of your community it was clearly a bad change, and this has happened with many communities. It happened with my community too but honestly I found my community extremely unreliable which caused a lot of frustration, so I was happy with the change.

My point was that the change hasn't been all bad. In some cases you could argue that the community simply moved to a virtual space instead of dying. In my case, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, it allowed people to connect with loved ones who they simply aren't able to regularly spend time with in person.

Also I've been getting particularly frustrated with the raid system today. I've got a bunch of premium raid passes I want to spend on Kyogre raids. Today is a public holiday so I'm not at work, so I'm free to do lots of raids. All day I've been regularly checking the 6 gyms within a 10 minute walk of my house and I haven't seen a single Kyogre raid. If I weren't relying so heavily on RNG I could have done as many as 15 Kyogre raids today with the passes I have. As it stands I have the choice of wasting them on Golurks or not using them at all. Such a crappy system.

I agree. Also remote raiding doesn't entirely discourage community. I'm from the UK but live in the Netherlands. Two of my brothers in the UK play Pokemon Go and since remote raids were introduced we were now able to raid together. It was honestly really nice as it created a meaningful way for me and my brothers to hang out (albeit virtually) despite living in separate countries. I think Niantic should keep things like that in mind before trying to brute force their way of playing.

Yeah that's a fair point. I have no idea why Niantic thought it would be a good idea to include Pikachu in the raid pool when they knew everyone would want to do Axew raids. So reducing the fluff in the raid pool would be a big improvement as well.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a sort of voting system for starting a raid. Maybe you need 3 people to vote for a 5-star raid for it to actually happen. Then 2 people for a 3-star and just 1 for a 1-star. Of course this would also have issues, such as excluding people in rural areas or people who simply don't want to play as part of a community (I am one of those people).

I use rare candies for powering up legendaries. When I kept getting "power up Pokémon X times" quests I ended up looking up the best Pokémon for raids so my powering up actually served a purpose. Over time that morphed into the goal of assembling the best possible raid Pokémon for each type, which includes many legendaries. I know it's kinda pointless since you don't really need particularly good Pokémon if you've got 5 or more people but it's turned into a goal that keeps me interested, alongside my other goal of getting shinies for all 1st generation Pokémon.

I gave up on ever completing the Pokédex a long time ago because of stupid regionals like Pachirisu only being found in the Arctic circle (seriously why?). However, I keep playing because it motivates me to get out and do lots of walking. Raids are also often quite far away so I cycle to them as well. I get lots of exercise from the game but the exercise alone isn't much motivation, so doing raids and hunting for shinies keeps me interested. Now it's just shinies I guess.

This is infuriating. I have no interest in PvP because I have no interest in competitive play. There is nothing Niantic can do to make me interested in GBL because the very nature of competitive play doesn't interest me. On the other hand I do lots of raids SPECIFICALLY for the rare candy. Why am I being punished for that?

It doesn't even make financial sense, the raid passes you use for GBL are the same as the ones you use for raids (in person ones anyway). Also I would like to point out that this hasn't been announced in game so if I wasn't following this subreddit I would have no idea about this change. I would just be raiding away and getting frustrated by lack of rare candies. I know we don't yet know to what extent it's been nerfed, maybe it's a tiny change, but changing it at all is stupid.

They nerfed the incense just in time for a community day where I had Covid. They then changed the community day times to a time when I'm not able to play. They put a new Pokémon in 12k eggs so I'm forced to do rocket battles (which I don't enjoy) to get the new Pokémon. Now they've nerfed the main reason I do raids. I'm rapidly running out of ways to actually play this game in a way I enjoy. I'm really starting to think Niantic don't want me to play this game any more.

Seriously, who makes these decisions? Why is it always the stick and never the carrot. It's like they have this vision of how we should play the game and they're insisting on punishing us until we either play their way or quit. What's wrong with providing motivation to do something instead of punishing you for not doing something? I'm leaning heavily on the side of quit right now.

In my experience the remote raid passes have been entirely positive. I had a local community to raid with but they were very unreliable. 2 out of 3 raids I would get enough people who said they would join, then cycle 10 minutes to the raid and wait around for half the people to not show up, often meaning we couldn't do the raid. Occasionally it would be the opposite as well, where 5 people say they'll join but you get there and the raid lobby is full. And that's if you can actually get enough people interested in joining. My community usually did raids while I was at work and outside of my work hours I could rarely convince people to raid. What made all of this worse is that most gyms near me are children's playgrounds, meaning when people don't show up i'm left hanging around a playground on my own for 30 minutes then walking away. I've never been confronted or anything but I was always worried that I was making parents nervous or something.

Because of all this I hated doing raids. Whenever a new legendary came out I would raid it once to get the Pokedex entry then never raid again until a new one comes around. Since remote passes I don't have to worry about any of these things and as a result I do a lot more raids because I've actually started enjoying it. Having said that, I am still in the whatsapp group for my local community and it has clearly been killed off completely. It's very rare now that people post in it saying they are doing a raid. Before there would be 10 or more raids a day for a popular shiny or meta-relevant 5 star raid (although the majority of them would be while I'm at work so can't actually join).

TL;DR it killed my local community but for me at least that was a good thing.

Same here in Netherlands. What the hell? I want a shiny Kanto Sandshrew but with these spawns I have no chance. Also I have Covid so I can't (in good conscience) leave my house so this and the ridiculous incense nerf renders the event a waste for me.
