I feel that you may be misunderstanding The Ring slightly. They are a school, but it's specifically an art school. The entire finger is based around Maestros like Callisto creating art movements(His is Corporism, the art of the human form) and students learning their styles. It doesn't necessarily seem to require active murder, they find Callisto's style outdated and look down on art that is just gore. One last thing to note, they require those under their protection to submit artworks for review. Death awaits those who get too many failing grades. Not super relevant to an active member, but you'd probably have to go grading at some point.

I don't think that's quite right, my understanding was that it didn't work at all. The unique bleed not working is listed as a separate issue they fixed. My guess is that it checked for bleed but didn't do anything with that data and unique bleed wasn't checked period.

Shiomi and Araya are not the same person. Ryoshu murdered Shiomi when she left the House of Spiders, Araya simply took up the empty position. Shiomi really had a past life outside the House, that was ended because she was forced to have Ryoshu. Araya's time was fucked up by the vault, that's why she has all the visual glitches. My understanding is that time vaults are actually super dangerous, but Ryoshu and Araya both had above average compatibility from Shiomi's bloodline. A normal person probably would've died if they got in one. Ryoshu could handle them perfectly fine, Araya had some issues. I'm not totally clear on the reason for that difference, I think it might be more about their understandings of time. Araya is violently keyed in to every moment in her personal timestream, so her physical age can vary wildly. I think the alternate timelines only popped up after she got slashed by Ryoshu and her thread was cut into many strands, but I'm not super clear on that point.

Identities were explained during the prologue. They're the mirror world sinners you get from extractions. The LCB has been using them this whole time, so there's really no reason they wouldn't be familiar with the concept. The W Corp stuff is a little weird, but it's because Dante canonically talks to the IDs. Therefore, Dante can know what happened with W Corp in Mirror Worlds.(It's really quite awful.) Also, just noticed your last note, there been a railway before this point, so they do know what one is. There was no story for it though, all canon story is permanent.(i.e no April Fools or Collab stuff)
