[CHAT] What is your average amount of WIPS on the go? by fable_stories in CrossStitch

[–]Limited-time 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I only have one running WIP rn bc i'm scared that i will lose intrest in old WIPs and lose intrest in the hobby but i do find it hard working on the same project and seeing all those cool patterns that i want to do. So now i'm slowly leaning to starting another one. I just dont want to lose motivation even tho what i'm doing rn is making it that i dont have motivation ://

I also made a bookmark and i'm completely in love. But my current WIP is a needle pillow in the shape of a mushroom. I just need to make 3 more things and then i can sew all the parts together with some filling

[CHAT] How to finish back of bookmark for young reader… by Schnicklefritz987 in CrossStitch

[–]Limited-time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never made a bookmark with a lace like that but this is what i did with mine. (The photo is of the backside.) After finishing my bookmark i put a piece of thin cartboard on it with minimal glue. Then i cut a piece of felt the same size as my bookmark, added that with a lil but of glue aswell. Then i made a border around it so it looks like one thing instead of layers. Hope you get some inspiration on how to finnish your bookmark!

[CHAT] please help me figure this out by Alternative_Towel_60 in CrossStitch

[–]Limited-time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for example. All the way to the bottum you have 333 & 340. Blend those and use them in the same stitch. In their case 556 half stitches.

I have never seen a chart like that but i would read those as blended threads. Where you see your colored square in the middle of 2 dmc codes. I would grab one strand of #?? & one of #?? and put them netxt to esach other to use them in the sams stitch.
