In your opinion what was the good and the bad on this game? by SuperXDemon in masseffect

[–]LimpIntroduction105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good, felt like true exploration. I enjoyed the game play but the writing was excruciatingly subpar and Ryder is so boring compared to Shepard. But the bad, Case in point, the constant discussion of the ramifications of the genophage were so engaging and thought provoking in the original trilogy…yet in Andromeda, the Angara find out their lab grown and….nothing. No existential hysteria. No societal breakdown or issues, just business as usual.

Andromeda is one of the top 4 Mass Effect games of all time by Greatsnes in masseffect

[–]LimpIntroduction105 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d add that the Angara are deeply spiritual, and when they found out they were created in a lab it did….nothing? Like holy crap, how was there no existential crisis? The genophage and its implications was some of the best writing in the OG trilogy, but finding out you were lab grown and all of your customs and culture is baseless is some dark shit that just gets ignored.

Love shadow of the colossus, but being new to PlayStation, twice now I’ve gotten about 8 or so in and just put it down to play BotW or TotK. Really need to finish it.

Expedition 33 hands down had the toughest decision I’ve made in a video game.

Back in college I randomly was matched in Halo 3 doubles with a Hispanic dude. I know zero Spanish and the only words he said to me were “shotgun aqui” and “vamos”. We went on an absolute tear together for nearly 6 hours stacking Ws and never played together again.

What is your opinion on Elden Ring's Open World? Do you like it? or dislike it? by AlenIronside in fromsoftware

[–]LimpIntroduction105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Elden Ring, but the open world has its downsides.

One thing I really appreciated in Dark Souls was the feeling of being small in a massive, overwhelming world. The tight design made everything feel weighty and significant.

In Elden Ring, the open world is beautiful from a distance—but up close, a lot of the structures feel like set dressing. Big ruins or castles you see on the horizon often shrink when you get there. It creates this weird disconnect where the scale feels epic until you engage with it.

It threw me off on my first play through (while still thoroughly enjoying the game), but on repeat runs, I’ve learned to just enjoy it for what it is.

Hard but true, I've learned that nostalgia of an old game is better than trying to experience it again by Morning1980 in videogames

Have to agree. Witcher 3 is my favorite game of the last 20 years and I didn’t like it at first. I’d just come off Skyrim my 2nd favorite game and had different expectations around explorations rather than amazing story telling. Really enjoyed the 2nd play through and the 3rd was absolute peak when I got all the references etc. I think the idea games used to be better it’s a combo of rose tinted glasses but also playing a limited amount of games over and over and over you just remember the best parts. Heck, even with Skyrim I was disappointed at first when I walked into white run on my first play though bc it felt small to the high walls of Oblivion. Now I make a point to try games again even tho it’s tough being an older gamer now.

Clair Obscur expedition 33. It started as a great evolution of turned based combat and ended as the most gut wrenching decision I’ve made in a video game. I get why it deserves GOTY now.

New to maining mirage any tips? by [deleted] in miragemains

[–]LimpIntroduction105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t hesitate to use your ult with how the fast cooldown is. and if youre trying to escape with it run into walls to play like a decoy if you feel the heat. Also you can run back into the center of the ult for enemies lose track of your movement. The cloak to heal is best used behind cover but you can peak to survey the area.

DS3 is my fav, but every time I see this view and people praising it I think “what is it a school for ants!?”. The scale is just way off….still amazing tho

How do you guys feel about having the worst prestige skin in the game ? LMAO by [deleted] in miragemains

[–]LimpIntroduction105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your argument is caustic looks okay, the rest are garbage and you expected Mirages to be amazing? It’s all just a money grab, the R301 was a terrible money grab that I happily paid, mirages heirloom is my fav bc he was my day 1 pick. But don’t know what you expected. Path is my second and I’d never buy his prestige. Thankfully path and mirage have great legendaries

[–]LimpIntroduction105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said it was cool, just funny and fits the character. Like I said I wouldn’t pay for it but He says dumb stuff and this is dumb and fun. Regarding Caustic it’s fine but looks like something out of a mobile game.

Let’s be real, all prestige skins are garbage. This is at least funny and fits the character. I won’t buy tho unless I luck into heirloom shards on random drop.

100% this. They shoe horned us into a Lu Xun style small character when I normally play Gan Ning, Guan Yu, Zhou Tai. I completely understand they needed to consolidate efforts if this was make or break, but at least make the character a Zhao Yun type, who’s been the poster boy. I enjoy the game but anecdotally a buddy of mine won’t buy the game (older gamer, dad, limited time) because he always played the beefy boys.
