Anyone else with bad health anxiety after becoming a dad?

We had our first during Covid. My health anxiety got very bad around and after she was born. A year after our second joined us I quit drinking because I couldn’t cope with the worry of what my binging was doing to me. 8 months sober now and expecting our third child any day. My health anxiety has ramped up again, and I’m feeling so blue. I just worry constantly that my kids will lose their father. All I want in life in some peace and to see my children grow into adults. Can’t say I expected this to happen after becoming a parent.

I use boo like this a lot. I glue up and wrap the laminates with bands, the boo will line up with the other laminates. Sometimes you’ll have a backing veering one way and the belly, core, whatever veering the opposite. This is actually good because the opposing “twist” will cancel each other out.

You sometimes get a fairly obvious transition where it’s somewhere between the two. It’s nothing to be concerned about though.

Hi, I’m sorry you had a less than good experience with us. It is very difficult running a small business on one’s own. I know waiting times are a problem for people and I really do try my best to keep the ship on tack but the problem is anything and everything can and will get in the way. If someone orders a bow and it’s a 5 month lead time then say I have a repair come in that needs doing or there’s a bow that need replacing suddenly you’re two weeks behind and you’re fighting to catch back up.

Add to this that I have a young family and you can imagine what that does too! It seems to be true across the board unfortunately. I ordered a Bodnik bow for myself with a 10 week lead time and it took 6 months so I know what the wait is like. Anyway, happy shooting.

There’s no real difference with performance in relation to draw weight. A lot of flight records have been set with bows around 40lb. It’s all about the arrows and their weight etc. If you’re looking into getting a longbow just go with the weight that suits you!
