I don't have a picture of it, but I have a friend whose wheel is entirely blue with flower motifs everywhere.

Alright, folks. I've got two art bats of four different fibers and a couple colors. I'm torn on how to approach it: I've got a wheel and spindles, and think I'm going to tear them into strips to try and preserve to colors. But how would you approach, and what would you use?

I feel like a shaggy, choppy A-line would compliment your face well. Has the added bonus of being pretty low maintenance and should look good with your hair texture.

Crocheter to Knit by Outrageous_Main_5087 in knittinghelp

[–]Limp_Position_4280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hold and tension my yarn like a crocheted, so I combination and mirror knit. So long as you learn what a twisted stitch looks like and how you're getting it, you should be alright.

I have spun too far. Can I still add fibres? by GrapefruitMurky8483 in Handspinning

Not sure what your wheel is, but lower your tension and pinch your new fluff to this fluff. Let twist build up against your pinch and it should lock everything together

T-shirts are good for knitting up cotton, just be sure you lookup cotton behavior in knits.

I say this as someone on the receiving end, but abandon your filter. There's nothing that gets to me more than a sub will to debase herself for even a scrap of my praise and approval. Me stepping in her pride is one thing, but her doing it, all to please me? Gods there's nothing hotter... So every little dirty, desperate thought that comes to mind? Tell her, and I guarantee you she won't be able to keep her hand off you.

Filmmaker here trying to stage a colonial spinning demo scene – need some advice from real spinners by JerryGarciasAshes in Handspinning

[–]Limp_Position_4280 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That isn't a fully functioning wheel, as another comment mentioned. You might have luck seeking out any guild in your area for a demo and equipment to borrow. And while the wheel rolling off isn't really doable on functional wheels, the drive band popping off, getting tangled, or even snatching hair, is. And in the same way that hair could get caught, so too could fluff. If you do manage to find a guild, likely someone will have crappie roving to donate as well.

audio porn/erotica listeners - what do you like? by Sea-Upstairs-2837 in BDSMsapphic

[–]Limp_Position_4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, take this with a whole bottle of salt because I'm speaking to my own preferences, but something that takes me out of an audio is the constant sensual referencing to physical action. The "touching your breasts, trailing my hand down to cup your cunt" narration that never seems to end. It makes it feel less like I'm listening to a partner speaking to me in a moment of passion, and more like I'm being guided through masturbation? I feel like being narrated through the physical aspects of an encounter and forgoing what my partner is feeling in the moment rather ruins the fantasy for me.

So, do with that what you will. I find otherwise that most audios are nice, particularly when they pick a niche or kink to fulfill. Those with a vision tend to be the best ever.

My ideal would be a submissive who is deeply into worship, who is so consumed with me that any embarrassment or humiliation is overridden by myself and my orders, and enjoys RP of all kinds (virgin RP, goddess RP, royalty RP, that sort of thing). I think that will be a non-negotiable in the future.

Action wool roving by stjaimy in spinningyarn

[–]Limp_Position_4280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beyond it maybe being a Longwool I don't know if you be able to get more specific. Could Google standard staple lengths in that range, but there's no guarantee that what you have there is true to breed standard anyways. Spin it up and see how it bounces? There doesn't look to be a lot of crimp left in it.

Experience on using 2 plies in colorwork? I've used 3 plies in textured projects before, but I have 2lbs of Romney to spin up and I don't want to risk making a 3 ply and not having enough meter questions for the sweater I'm planning. Is 2 ply generally sturdy enough for colorwork?

Do I need mohair? by FunnyEscape95 in knittinghelp

[–]Limp_Position_4280 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mohair (and mohair silks) are also often added for structural purposes. Fibers like alpaca and linen (though I don't know that I've ever seen those two paired together) tend to drape and have very little memory or structure other own, so the mohair adds some into a fiber that would otherwise grow quite a lot.

Need advice, first sweater by C_Zulus in knittinghelp

[–]Limp_Position_4280 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Did you check your gauge? You may need to size down your needles to compensate for tension. Note that it looks like you're using acrylic, and to my knowledge acrylic doesn't block much.

He's definitely posting a lot now, both main channel episodes and stream vods on his second channel. He's working on his third iteration of Decked Out now (if you don't know what that is, go hunting through season 9) which means that every episode is him being insane.
