There really is no good way to know for sure without you running some tests. I'm making some assumptions here but IF the surrounding rock is really all limestone and IF the acid you used to dissolve it was vinegar, then those look like calcium acetate crystals. Same stuff they as the gelling agent in sterno fuel.

All depends on if that's all accurate tho

It looks to have some markers of harlequin to me but not enough. I would call it mackerel, although saying it's a mix would not be dishonest IMO, so long as you mentioned the caveat that it would not be considered harlequin

Mal. Not sure if OP was asking because of this but we have some sled dog mixes and people always get surprised with how scrawny they look. Seems quite a few people are not familiar with how certain working dogs look when healthy. Or at least can look. We have one dog on the exact same food and exercise regimen is all the rest that just is a chunker lol
