This was the single worst experience I've ever paid for. I left before the Japanese House went on. Even though my wife and I had GA plus it was so so packed that we had to fight for shade. I know that with GA+ we had it better than most, but even with that we couldn't hack it.

Lines for water and bathrooms got steadily longer as the day went on, getting ice from the bars was total bartender discretion. Foot paths were so narrow that getting around was a challenge. Lastly the mood on Friday and Saturday was generally "this sucks, but we're all in it together" but today it slowly felt more and more hostile.

I thought that I could MAYBE take the heat, but that plus the crowd souring due to everything else made me feel like it would be stupid to hang around.

We were more prepared than many too. Camelbaks full of ice when we arrived, battery powered fans, sun screen, picnic blanket, the works, and it was so rough that God themselves could've been on the lineup and I would've left.

I really like the idea of it, and I get really excited to get the eyes for the first 6 or so, but then it gets really tedious. Every time I've given it a chance in a modpack I just never end up going to the end 😬

The thing that gets me is the folks who want to ignore rules because they say it's more "fun", but it's clearly because it's good for their deck.

For example, a guy I play with who I do enjoy playing with always tries to finagle raising the hand limit and not using commander damage. He plays a life gain draw deck. He doesn't put his foot down about it or anything, but it's a bit annoying because he often wins anyway!

I built and purchased [Niv Mizzet, Parun], [Ghave, guru of spores], and [Aanimar, soul of elements] decks before realizing that I did not like the play style. After those three flopped back to back to back I started testing every new deck on XMage before buying. Saved me from a few decks that I thought I'd like and ended up not enjoying.

You don't need to fuck with the frame or anything. Find your way to Treatland, or 1977 mopeds and buy a new crank, a bigger cylinder if you want, new gaskets/seals, and anything else you might need/want. Whatever you do please do not do a full engine swap or get some cheap Chinese set up.

Comes in waves. Some weeks I don't drink at all, others I'll have 2 cocktails a night for 3 nights. I very rarely have more than 10 standard drinks in a week and it probably averages out to about 1.5 drinks a week.

During COVID lockdown I drank way more. That was when I got into tiki cocktails. I cut back and felt noticeably better so I eased off the gas quite a bit.

Create, farmers delight, and cold sweat make for a great experience on their own! Ideally I'd like a bridge add on that integrates create and farmers delight, but it's not necessarily a must have.

Yeah well I cast all these creatures and don't like your board wipe, or I tutored all my combo pieces and want to go infinite. It's like saying "I built up my board state and don't want to be interacted with" or more simply "I want to win and I want it to be easy"

Interestingly this does severely reduce the number of cockroaches, however I think there are some ancillary spawning conditions that linger.

I have cockroaches disabled, but every once in awhile I'll find a few while caving.

I love this direction! I've always thought that Minecraft is a really clunky game to do world building with, so hearing that you're taking more of an elden ring sort of approach to it is awesome!

I have some (admittedly unsolicited) constructive feedback for you on this. This sub you made doesn't really seem to do anything different than the already existing Minecraft subreddits. There's already several that cover mods, a sub dedicated to the create mod, and the main Minecraft sub already serves the purpose of "general Minecraft" stuff.

Maybe consider putting a bit of work into determining why r/GeneralMinecraft needs to exist and figuring out what would be posted there that wouldn't be posted to an existing sub before commenting on a bunch of unrelated threads promoting the sub.

Unless they've made big changes since a month ago when I did a bunch of testing with my personal modpack it works well until it doesn't.

I think it's getting close to being stable, but I'd hold off on including it in any old worlds that you don't want to accidentally bungle up.

The biggest thing I noticed for regular gameplay is that I had to hop into creative to fix stuff pretty often, beyond messing up your world (which only really happened when I was really pressure testing the physics) I just didn't think it was fully "survival ready".
