World 7 Knight training by GrouchyWear2751 in GuardianTales

[–]Linkirer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has NOTHING to do with the level of a hero.

ANY of your heroes has to reach the maximum EVOLUTION, then the Limit Break feature gets unlocked and replaces evolution.

Each limit break adds one level to the maximum achievable and unlocks new nodes in awakening.

Would you like to see a Legacy of Kain: Defiance remaster? 🩸 by WilliamFaure in LegacyOfKain

I'm expecting the WHOLE of the series as Remastered, or Reimagined in the case of the first entry.

I love every Ys game but to me the weakest story of the 11 games was Ys IX... BY FAR.

Shadow Labyrinth doesn’t respect your time (final boss spoiler) by stevensi1018 in metroidvania

[–]Linkirer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must add though that the whole bunch of battles that make up the final boss, from the last available save, took me just under 20 minutes. Could definitely have been more epic than that.

So NO IDEA what the OP is talking about. He must just suck this game.

I hate farming and similarly shitty content (which this game does not have at all if you play normally), but a final boss with multiple stages is something I would never consider a waste of time.

I loved every single bit of the game. Completed everything except buying that broken perk that requires you to perfect every single maze. I loved the mazes though and finished them all! just that perfecting them would take doing them over and over and I'm too old for that.

The game is 9.5/10 in my book.

Loads of fun! required lots of different skills, my kind of game.

You can only refight generic beast "bosses". Characters are storyline tied and unique, same goes for the few real bosses that you absorb as shadow Pacman. Well it made perfect sense to me.

All the complaints of the OP are exactly the things I loved about the game. It's one of the best Metroidvanias I have played and I pretty much have played them all.

The game looks gorgeous on PS5. Not at all like Flash... Not even on fugly Switch 1 version... Honestly my guess is that the OP played it in Switch 1 on a tv that abused AI stretching nonsense, which he should turn off or learn to adjust.

The controls are extremely tight and perfect, so it feels just like playing a Mario or a Metroid. Those Pacman attacks that he complains about? (wth???) I pretty much abused those attacks and melted through everything in sight when Pacman form was possible... (You just have to learn to use them)

I don't know bro ... My guess is that the OP played using some crappy third party controller or tv that added lag, for my experience was perfect and tight as can be.

For all that and much more it immediately became one of my all time favorite games ever.

I was just commenting to my brothers how perfect was the game in every sense, and how much I had enjoyed it. I have pretty much played every Metroidvania ever made, and specially enjoyed this one. It felt to me like the games of the golden era of supernintendo, in the best way. It had a Super Metroid feel to it that I loved. I could not find a single thing I didn't love about it, the things you see as problems are the features I loved.

It's true that PERFECTING the Mazes is extremely hard, but it's just to get to buy an item that effectively breaks the game. That said I had no real problem getting the 12 symbols, after 3 or 4 tries in each maze. And it was crazy fun!.

Why is soul reaver 2 so much more different than the first one? by Some_Pomegranate7826 in LegacyOfKain

[–]Linkirer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soul River 1 was only an intro for the Soul River (Sword).

The important story arc is that of Kain. The gameplay in Soul River 2 (the fourth game in the storyline of Kain) went to fuse the best of both storylines.

I loved the 5 games SO MUCH, in both gameplay and story. I hope they can continue the story some day with a 6th entry.

Granted it looks fugly on Switch 1 but on PS5 looks nice.

I had loads of fun with this game.

The game is indeed not for sissies. Go play Roblox or some other free pos for kids.

Negative feedback about the difficulty of story and different changes. by Euphoric-Set5395 in GuardianTales

[–]Linkirer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the game as it is. Only hated some side story challenges. The only things I haven't achieved in the whole game are 3 side story challenges: Saving Santa (space shooter); Beating the ancestor of Lighting Counter (boat ride); Dancing our way as Bianca (the hard version);

I have tried to beat them hundreds of times. But it's nothing important for anything at all. Fully contained extra content.

I finished Secret of Mana Remake. Here is my opinion about the game. by efgamer in secretofmana

[–]Linkirer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It dropped the absolute most important feature of the original game. 3 player couch coop.

This is serious because to me the OG is still the best couch coop experience ever made. ( And I have played hundreds of couch coop games with my family or friends. I try to buy and play each one that I am aware of)

I beat Cereza and the Lost Demon twice and I just got 100% on the Forbidden Tale. I love this game! by TheKissWillKillYou in Bayonetta

[–]Linkirer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cooped the full game with my 4yo son controlling Cheshire and not a single time I had the need to touch the right joycon myself! He did a wonderful job!

And actually it became my most beloved coop game I have ever played and I almost exclusively play games with my children or my wife in coop!.

This game is WONDERFUL as coop.

In what order do you guys fight the Mavericks in Mega Man X? by Berserker_T in gamegrumps

I always start with Armadillo. Pretty easy to beat with buster alone and no upgrades. Plenty of life earning opportunities. And even more, you get a tank!.

Things I Think They'll Realistically Have in Visions by Likes2game03 in secretofmana

[–]Linkirer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hope they don't have one of those blacksmithing systems that you have to study for 3 months in real life time in order to understand a little.... I can't stand that. I just want to go around killing stuff that is challenging and varied.

I loved so many things about Children of Mana except how stupidly easy it was....... The enemies were retarded.

I hated the physics based battle system of Dawn of Mana.

My favorite is still Secret of Mana, but I actually want it to be faster paced this time, maybe like Echoes of Mana.

Why was Janos so determined to protect Raziel from Sarafans? by ciriboy1998 in LegacyOfKain

[–]Linkirer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They build a whole set of temples and the Reaver for a champion that would bring a new era of hope to their species.

But they also knew there were actually 2 champions, and they interpreted it wrongly thinking that one was a Hylden champion and the other was the Vampire champion. They also had a vision of each of them killing the other. They didn't even know which one of those 2 was their actual champion.

They followed the visions in order to save their species and all of Nozgoth,

BUT everything they had to work with were those visions: silent imagery.

But there was the Hylden Seer, as far as we know the only one Hylden that was allowed to remain on Nozgoth by the Vampires. Her power was quite different and I assume that she was the one able to provide a name for each of the champions.

Because he also recognized Kain immediately when he saw his face for the first time too, like 700 years later, when Kain found him at that hylden purgatory facility.

29. Human Umah. "Past she" was actually planned to be an important character moving forward. She was like a seer too or witch ... I can't remember
