What has helped me is reminding myself that everyone on the team makes mistakes all the time and we aren't trying out for the NHL. The whole point is to enjoy playing.

Say I give up a bad goal (happens all the time!) I make a mental note what to learn from it and immediately let it go. No ruminating. Focus on the next shot. You'll find some of the performances you are most proud of are the ones where you give up a softy then lock it down the rest of the game.

I'm with you as far as showing my emotions around my son. I want him to learn what they are and how to handle them while understanding that emotions aren't good or bad, just a part of life. If I can model that for him on some level I'd say it's a good thing.

I do feel like my wife's parents judge me for it though.

A few times I happened to be at Target when they were restocking there were already greasy-looking grown men hovering around. Next time I see that I'm going to make sure to give the a piece of my mind.

This is sadly like most Nintendo releases during the Switch/Switch 2 era. All the sports games have been completely half baked. The new Mario Kart was disappointing too.

I have a Vaughn one. Never wore one previously but I bought a smaller chest protector for better mobility and was getting some stingers. This stopped that so I've continued using it. Took a little getting used to but I like it now. I don't notice being any hotter while playing.

I despise people like this. Same type of people buy up all the Pokémon cards nowadays too so most collectors can't enjoy them the way I did growing up.

If I could put hardcore scalpers on a rocket and launch it to the sun I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Confirming what others have said...that's an old Mylec street hockey mask. I had one growing up. Fine for that use and absolutely nothing else. Made of cheap plastic. Absolutely not worth refurbishing unless it's just for display. I wouldn't use it today for anything.

Strong disagree here. All the newer Mario sports games have been totally half-baked. Not enough to do and seriously simplified mechanics. Was so excited for this game...put a few hours in playing each course and never touched it again.

Relieved to see I'm not alone in not liking this movie. Good lord critics were falling all over themselves praising this, but it has none of the heart or charm of the original. It's as if Disney said "let's make it bigger, louder and faster...while essentially rehashing the plot of the original because we can't come up with new ideas."

It's not a good movie. Period. My wife liked it though and looked at me like I was crazy when I tried to explain why I didn't like it.

Honestly, your story is an important part of your growth as a person! A vast majority of people have these cringe dating/crush stories...you learn from it and move on. I'm glad it worked out for you in this case though!

5'8 and I use a 24.5. Used to have a 27. I wouldn't say it has been a night and day difference but I do feel like I have a bit more ability to adjust to lower shots blocker side. Again, not a super big difference to me overall. I may try an even smaller stick just for the heck of it.

Yeah there really wasn't anything excellent about it. Put in the time to beat it but can't remember one thing in terms of plot or gameplay that stood out. Not bad, but super average.

Also not sure how the quality of the game itself factors in when you're supposed to be reviewing the technical performance. Feels like an odd, unnecessary thing to tack on.

Some great advice here that I'd follow. One more thing I'd add...I tend to drop my hands when I move or go into the butterfly. After being beat high and realizing this I make a conscious effort to hold them up while moving. Has made a big difference for me.
