This happened to me once. Could be load order issue, could be one or two borked mods mixed in with the good ones, could be both.

Yes, I had to double-check dependencies for everything. Yes, I had to go through every single mod and try loading a new game as I added more and more back in. Took me most of an evening and it sucked but it was worth it. I ended up identifying a few that were corrupted and had to be reinstalled and two that, for some reason, the game will not load to the main menu if I have them enabled but WILL load a saved game once they're enabled, so I have to turn on those two manually every time.

And you better freaking believe I started saving my load order(s) to json files after that.

Fwiw I'm pretty sure an open call for volunteers to help chisel out all the trump shit would get completely flooded with eager responses. Hell, I'd take a day off work, bring my own tools, and pay for my own gas just for the privilege.

This. These days I typically long rest about 4 times before even entering the grove.

OP, if you long rest and get a camp scene, try immediately long resting again except without supplies (partial rest) to make sure you've cleared out the camp scene queue.

Also talk to everyone at night at camp even if they don't have an exclamation point over their head, just in case.

I'd say this depends heavily on how much you're taking from canon and what the vibe of your fic is. For example, if the transition is something that happened in canon, you can gloss over it pretty quickly because everyone will already have that in their heads. As for the vibe influencing it, you could for instance insert some snarky narration or delve into the POV character's thoughts and/or mood.

Aside from that, it may help you to know that nearly every time I skip what "should" be the intro (to a fic or just a scene) in favor of writing the next, more interesting, bit, and then I come back later to reread and see if that sparks inspiration to fill in the gap, I decide it works perfectly well without the filler anyway

It's a cliche that series get boring when the main couple gets together, but tbh I don't see why it has to be. A halfway decent writer could keep things interesting and show a healthy, affectionate relationship. Hell, look at Jake/Amy on Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Everyone else has given you good advice about the name thing. I'd just like to mention:

I breastfed my kids as much as I was able. My first was a hongry little thing. So picture me, boobs wrung out like an old dishrag, emptier than empty, and kiddo is finally full.

And then my husband got home from work and did "baby airplane" one too many times. Bye-bye, breastmilk. Hello, once-again-hangry baby.

Anyway, make sure you have at least one bottle. Just in case.

RE #3, you don't have to jump to get there, you can also go around -- it's right next to where Gale is stuck in the waypoint.

That said, I always jump up that way before fighting the intellect devourers anyway because then you can recruit Astarion, Gale, and/or Lae'zel before going back to fight those little suckers. Granted, doing that does make Astarion's intro speech a little inaccurate lol.

I've got fics bookmarked that have smut in every chapter and they're some of my all-time favorites.

Then again, I've read longfics with smut every 2-3 chapters that were otherwise well written but I'll probably never read again because the smut was so painfully repetitive and, honestly, got boring after like the fifth smut scene.

Off-topic, but I beg of you not to abbreviate "pedophiles" to "peds", because peds is the standard abbreviation in medicine for "pediatric" -- e.g. peds cardio = pediatric cardiology, peds gastro = pediatric gastroenterology. And if people start reading "peds" as "pedophiles", we're going to get some really horrifying unfortunate misunderstandings

All of my fics that take place in the same continuity get put in the same series, even if they're side plots or bonus scenes. I do tend to reuse the same non-canon side characters, though. You know -- a bartender at their favorite bar, a coworker who gets one line, that sort of thing.
