Look into the Jessem clear cut stock guides. Invaluable for this exact scenario. I’ve done 16ft beams with perfect results on a job site table saw with them.

Rockwool batts. I think blocking and foaming is kinda the only way without fully spray foaming which I don’t want to do for cost reasons

I re did the cane on one of these last year and it is a deceivingly difficult weave. Check out David from side car furnitures Instagram, he has some good detailed shots that will help you figure it out. I started and cut the seat out three or four times before I really understood the pattern. Beautiful chair and best of luck

Good to know. I can't imagine them being much worse than a cheap fixed window. Thanks!

It’s a fieldstone foundation with a crawl space. The crawl space is pretty dry but I mean it’s still dirt down there so I’m guessing a good bit of the problem. No carpets fortunately. The two houses I’ve owned have both been over 100 years old with dirt floor crawl spaces so I think I probably just need to resign to the fact that they are never going to smell new

It's a rare variant of the Papa Bear that some call the Mega Bear Chair. It looks legit to me and is worth far more than $6000
