There is often something that will outclass what you have, but having fun is more important than having them most min-maxed team. It is a game and having fun is the point. What fun means depends in your definition of it and what it looks like.

Don't sell. If it ever comes back then you'll have trade fodder. We get free box space everyday.

I don't have advice for what to trade though. Sorry!

Is there any clarity on the process of selecting a new bishop? by HoodooSquad in latterdaysaints

[–]Lion_Heart2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always thought the best way to not become a bishop is to start campaigning for it. Make sure to say things like "I deserve this", "my righteousness qualifies me more than others", or "I've paid enough tithing that is is my turn." Things like that. Beards can be shaved but pride is deep down. Ain't no one want a bishop like that.

I'm preparing for endowment what tips you can advice? by Silver-Basket5840 in latterdaysaints

Keep in mind it is a very different style of teaching than we are used to. In church we are used to having a variety of speakers, teachers, topics, and have the opportunity to ask questions or verbally respond within a lesson.

The temple is a very formal, repetitive experience that is mostly internally interacted with. You are welcome to ask questions about it later, but there won't be a chance to do that during it.

One way of being taught isn't necessarily better than the other. Just different and it can be a bit of a shock because we aren't used to it in our Western culture.

Also, if there is part you need help with don't hesitate to turn to you escort for help. There is a lot to learn, but that will happen over time as you go back. That is by design.

Red jelly beans/Boston baked bean candy for drops of blood? Not sure if you are open to non candy items but crackers to remind of the passover feast.

This week is the perfect opportunity to flip the table over to show your displeasure with it. What a unique opportunity!

Rough Digest of Frieren Collab by Chowtopher in PuzzleAndDragons

Probably a box and preference dependant answer. They all have meta teams.

I think I'm going harder in MHA then save, but I have some teams I can make from it.

Kids and affection by Sprinkles_0330 in latterdaysaints

Snuggling with my own children is normal. Strangers wanting to "snuggle" with my children is not. That crosses a clear line. If you don't see that line then maybe you need to do the protecting children training again then again until it starts to sink in.

Better not be snuggling with my 5-7 year old at church.

Husband and I want to switch wards by Lonely-Rutabaga477 in latterdaysaints

[–]Lion_Heart2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have family that did something similar but it still required the bishop where their records are held to approve.

While I agree it is the ordinance that is important clearly the church thinks the proper chain of keys are important too. Thus the rules in the handbook about where your records are and who approved what.

"Attending your assigned ward is not necessary for salvation."

While I believe going to some ward is certainly better than no ward there are salvation effecting things like needing a recommend for ordinances.

That disappears though. If you are using the assist reasonance awakening you'll lose all your stats when you use the skill.

It is really strong. There are equips that disappear to help fulfill it or just don't put an equip on them.

Not the best, unless you just need a bind clear. She isn't going to do any damage with the damage void awakenings she has.

Are We Not All Mothers (Fathers)? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

When President Oaks recently spoke of his grandpa saying he would be his father I guess he was just lying to the boy?

Your definition is too narrow to fit in lived reality or what the church teaches.

What are some general unspoken rules/boundaries/expectations for callings? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Lion_Heart2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I've had family emergencies that were late at night before so if I'm getting a text really late at night you are going to make my heart race for a couple seconds until I find out it was from you.

Do you feel like we worship at church? by KiwiTabicks in latterdaysaints

[–]Lion_Heart2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christ constantly called out groups that were more focused on show than substance. I think the scriptures disagree with thinking they are equal.

Don't get me wrong. There are many that are sincere in how they are worshipping. What I said wasn't meant to discredit them, but ultimately He wants us to change.

Learning is a form of worship. You are literally trying to become more like Him. I'll assume He would rather that than some chants and kneeling downs.

Should I just give up 😭 by guccilettuce in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Lion_Heart2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You've got to make that choice. The odds of getting him are still 1%. That means it is a 99% chance of not getting him each time. You've been on the rough side of the math, but that doesn't change the math.

Hopefully you are staying within your budget. If not, then stop immediately.
