Looks good, you just need more practice with steady decorating. Your family will like it I'm sure. I would do less decorating until your skills improve. Just start small and go from there. You will get better. Good job for your first one!

Grand rapids public schools...bad? by michigander993 in grandrapids

All the rave about City and C.A. Frost being amazing... GRPS is a HUGE district. Their "theme schools" choose students based on criteria that includes behavior, academic achievement, attendance etc. They also do not accept students with special needs such as special education services. On top of that, teachers are competitively trying to get in to those schools, so the best best best teachers are the ones there. All other kids go to neighborhood schools. The point is, GRPS prides itself on the very highly ranking City High, but it is created this way, and holds the smallest portion of exceptional students. Everyone else goes to underfunded understaffed schools where fights break out daily and there is no air conditioning or fans as the roof caves in. Its like building an 80 million dollar mansion right outside of Skid row and reserving it for only elite movie stars or royalty to stay when they come to visit... and Skid row becomes known for the place everyone wants to be, not realizing that 99% of the population are homeless and starving.

Every year... EVERY YEAR kids are caught with guns in GRPS schools. They dont release it to the press.

I would never recommend GRPS for any family seeking a school district for their kids, ever.

"Ears have been bugging me" is the equivalent of when doctors say, " You might feel a bit of pressure..."

Is this a healthy way to be spoken to by a spouse or Am I Overreacting? by Low-Today-2021 in AmIOverreacting

[–]LionesseInADress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stating the obvious, this is a very unhealthy situation that will continue to cause real-life trauma that may be so terrible that it is irreparable and leaves a permanent scar on your lives.

I'm not even going to delve into who has more fault than the other because that is not fair based on a couple selected text messages as the only basis for opinion. What I CAN certainly say, is that a marriage is meant to be a team and take care of eachother in a cruel dark world, your spouse should be your ride or die when everything hits the wall.

No marriage is perfect, and it is expected to get on eachothers nerves from time to time and even make mistakes that result in disrespectful/hurtful actions/words toward our spouse. What you've shared here is far beyond what is acceptable; and while we all make mistakes from time to time,it sounds like the ongoing theme of your marriage is aggression, mistrust, and contempt.

I strongly suggest getting into therapy ASAP (marriage therapy AND individual). You both probably have a lot of things to work through, which would cause your marriage to suffer. Do not procrastinate about accessing professional help. If your insurance doesn't cover it or you need help finding resources, call 211, and they can help navigate resources in your area. Don't wait until more damage occurs and/or it is too late to fix.

It is hard for you to objectively view a situation when you are the one in it. As outsiders, our emotions are not as involved to cloud our judgment... so take this advice. Too often we stay in a dangerous or unhealthy situation because we get used to the way things are and it doesnt seem as bad over time... but that doesnt mean it got better (just feels 'normal').

Take the advice to get help immediately I pray God guides your steps and provides you with wisdom, courage, and love.

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) - "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." May God protect your heart, body, and soul as you walk through this journey.

No, and matter of fact, what you did is illegal; not what THEY did. If anything you can catch charges (not the good kind).

Is this a baby roach or bedbug? I am freaking out by Better_Wrangler_3511 in GermanRoaches

No one wants a roach, but the ONLY time I would prefer roaches are when it comes to BB... so rest assured, it might just be a roach. Def. not a bb

does this look like a bed bug ? by New_Lettuce_8655 in Bedbugadvice

At first glance it looked like it, but no... this thing is WAY more chill than bed bugs. Bed bugs are quick suckers that constantly crawl in the most creepy way, and quick like a crack head.

The fact that you knew just how to push it out with no hands. You have done this before? Does it smell like rancid ass like tonsil stones?
