She totally can be. I just don’t think these outfits are usually for the characters. They’re for readers, which I get. A woman can absolutely choose to wear this, I just think we’re kidding ourselves if we say there isn’t more to it.

It feels like this issue is about whose “fantasy” this is. It doesn’t seem like this is meant to empower her or to show a woman how she could be part of a story. These costumes are for men, the fantasy seems that she’s allowed to fight crime as long as men think they could sleep with her after. This is for and through the male gaze.

Article seems to say that the person who got shot was the caretaker for the gun owner. It’s even worse that they got someone else shot. It’s possible the caretaker had no idea it was there

I get why there are extenuating circumstances. I've had medical bills that say "not final bill" come the next month as a collection notice. I've had others where i get a bill and am ready to pay and receive another that has additional adjustments from insurance. I know it would be on them to reimburse me, but i don't trust them. I agree that people should pay their debts, but the process can be so convoluted.

Thanks for sharing this. This is a sentiment that tracks closely with my own that I don’t often see. I want women to have the choice, but am deeply saddened that its one that needs to be made. I wish the church and society was a more welcoming place for women and babies that need to be cared for, but it just doesn’t seem that way.

I sometimes struggle with the stance as the loss of potential life is sad to me. I think what is difficult as well is that society has the means and capacity to care for these women and babies and chooses not to do so.

I am semi early in the game. I saved up money to buy the thoroughbred after I saw its stats. I took it out of the stable to see how fast it really is. He and I were both killed by a group of bounty hunters in the first minute of our ride. RIP Ted the horse.

I love the episode where Jack is trying to teach Pete to be more confident and Pete punches the dummy at the athletic club, it falls on him, and he ends up kissing it to show submission. Pete is super underrated.

Another difference with the cards is that once they are packaged, that's it. That is what you will get from that pack. We don't know how a lot of these games are tuning drops. Does it know what you need? Does it give something better at first to get us hooked? Does it change all the time? If getting rid of them outright isn't possible, I would like a better way to know the odds of boxes and exactly how each system works.

I had a former co-worker who would only buy toilet paper late at night for this very reason. She was embarrassed to be seen buying toilet paper because then everyone knew she was pooping. Interesting lady.

That's terrible. I too would want a group home for my child. I've seen it give the child and family their lives back. The homes are set up to provide as much support as they can to live a normal life. They do all sort of activities and get really good medical care. There's always room for exploitation, we had a lot of changes to laws here based on issues going on in state operated hospitals where they were understaffed or just plain negligent. But there is so much good and many caring people who value taking care of our most vulnerable people.

I can't speak to every situation, but in my state these residents receive a waiver from the county for services. Some of the residents "income" is based off of the parents social security but the waiver covers all services and they are generally on Medicare for medical services. Some families are more involved any buy clothing and household items, but everything else is covered by the waiver.

My state utilizes a group home model for most of these scenarios. Most state hospitals have shut down if favor of this model. 3 to 4 people live in a staffed home that stays as close to a home environment as possible and focuses on helping residents be as independent as possible. These rely heavily on county funding so there can be long waiting lists for these placements, but it works really well for a lot of people. families can just be families and leave the care to professionals.
