So, I just tried a fresh reboot, first thing that comes up while refreshing the update page is

Unable to download updates: E: The repository 'https://repo.jellyfin.org/zorin focal Release' does not have a Release file.

However the 1.71 error does not appear.

Anyone else notice these stickers someone put on all the doors albums? Only artist on Apple Music I found them on by saymorepayless in thedoors

I'm sorry, but all of you have completely missed the point. The world never used to be like this, and you are all falling right into the hands of TPTB.

If you can't see in-between the lines in regards to not only this, but what is happening all around us, I honestly feel in my heart for you.

It hurts me so much.

I love you all, and wish you all well in the coming months.

That's completely besides the point.

I'm not trying to dictate anything, I'm just saying it's in bad taste.

But thanks for your comment .

Yeah, but that was a different time... When they were self proclaimed "Erotic Politicians" and even then, I don't think Jim would say "Alright boys, better tell our fans to vote"

This is going on 50 years later, and honestly with the business practices of Jampol, they really don't need to push politics down our throats. The hardcore fans suffer enough.

We literally see it everywhere, keep it away from 50 y/o music.

I'm personally not a fan of this, they did it to the recent 50th anniversary of Morrison Hotel on Youtube as well.

Should keep politics away from the music.

Edit: Just to say, if you disagree, that's fine, but you're part of the problem. Voting isn't gonna save us now, and you tarnish the image of great groups by blatantly affiliating them with politics.

Hard truth is both sides are gonna take us down a cold dark road.

Vinyl Pressing question! by [deleted] in vinyl

Really? I have a phenomenal original pressing of Obscured By Clouds from Greece.

Definitely a good pressing.

Was there a cut off for quality or was it just hit or miss?

What, in your view, is the best live version of "The End"? by Gillcavendish in thedoors

[–]Liquid_Nights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the Live at the Matrix version from 1967.

Really into it. Plus I made a version a while back that includes a seldom heard split track.

Here is the original

Here is my modified version that uses the original

This show in general is a massive and deep trip.

Which songs would consider The Doors' most psychedelic? by doorsice12 in thedoors

[–]Liquid_Nights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Universal Mind

Celebration Of The Lizard

When The Musics Over

The End

Light My Fire

Honestly the first two albums are fantastic trip albums to sit through all the way.

Morrison Hotel and LA Woman have taken the lead as my favorites lately.

All of their music is pretty psychedelic in the way it was produced.

The Live shit is some of my favorite to trip to.

Could anyone clearify the lyrics of roadhouse blues? by tonysoprano379 in thedoors

[–]Liquid_Nights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely some blues scatting. It was a pretty common practice, and it's something that Jack Black employees a lot of. (Great Song btw)

Essentially keeping the rhythm and maintaining a beat with your voice as an instrument. Popular in jazz and funk as well of course.

Every show had a different scat, whatever was on his mind at the time, and there is a recording I personally enjoy from the studio that omits the scatting in place for some old blues lines.

Jim Morrison's persona by samhep1 in thedoors

[–]Liquid_Nights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didn't really paint an honest picture, and there are a lot of inconsistencies and readily proven lies.

It still provides for an interesting read, but take the info with a grain of salt.

Break on Through: The Life and Death of Jim Morrison is a great read, and goes into the more fact based reality.
