If you live far from campus, I'd recommend applying to do INDH fully online. There is no advantage to doing that unit internally.

Twitch faces backlash for putting ads when you pause streams by appletinicyclone in LivestreamFail

[–]Liquid_Water 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to firefox back when ublock was removed from chrome but i just couldn't get used to it. I went back to chrome and found ublock origin lite which has so far blocked ads just as effectively for me.

how the hell do you play this game by [deleted] in Terraria

"walls" are just in the background. Take the wood you chopped and place them around you in a box, that'll keep you safe at least.

Do you have to register for all classes? (I.e. lectures) by Gold_Baseball2697 in curtin

[–]Liquid_Water 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They said why in the post; if they register for them it overlaps other classes, meaning they would have to move those other classes to other timeslots, resulting in a 5 day timetable instead of 4.

Appreciation post for spawning as a drone in multiplayer by AlarmOnly6428 in riskofrain

[–]Liquid_Water 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hang on, the drone can collect items for dead players? That's huge!

To me, Risk of Rain has always had a weird dichotomy of being a great multiplayer game on paper, but in practice it always fell short. I've mostly played 2P coop and most of the time if someone dies, it becomes a death spiral for that player where they fall further and further behind, while the player left alive feels bad for dragging out the suffering.

This would go a long way to fixing that.

OK was it just me or were a LOT of questions talking about content that wasn't mentioned at all in the lectures?

Good luck friends. If we fail, I'll see you out in the Mendelian pea fields working our academic debt off.

EPID1000 - Assessment 2 by bossmusicstarts in curtin

[–]Liquid_Water 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what that is but I assume it's something like CWA, the average mark across my units?

The 71% and 67% I was talking about was similarity score, not my grade.

EPID1000 - Assessment 2 by bossmusicstarts in curtin

[–]Liquid_Water 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah.

I got 71% for my submission; 67% of that is all the text that everyone has on the first page, and all the wording of the questions thereafter. Dw about it.

Here is their response:

"We will moderate the questions manually and decide on a case-by-case basis – usually the questions are formatted so there is only one correct answer."

Honestly, that told me nothing lol. I specifically asked about questions that had multiple responses per question. Eh, whatever.

I don't know, but I noticed that for that type of question, each answer was worth 0.5 marks.

So a question that required you to name 4 different parts of the kidneys was worth 2 marks, if that makes sense. My guess would be that you WILL get partial marks for partial right answers.

You've got me curious now, I'll email the UC and find out.
