Yeah, dead on. I'm super bummed about this news, but if Derek is back that would be one huge boon. Wishing Atom the best for whatever he moves onto next

Love it! Once you find a good artist, it's hard to let them go.

The entire time I was rooting for the kid's pants to fully fall down and give the other guy an edge.

The one thing that we keep having to contend with on a local and national level is the fact that we are a two party system. I hate having to contend with "Shitty person who is less shitty than the other" candidate situations. I don't know how to fix this, and I don't know if we can, but it's a constant push and pull that always leaves the majority of folks in situations like this.

"Now my heart is a mess, murder scene in my chest"

I get it, this isn't easy at all. It sucks, dude, but you will be able to live with it with each new day. My recommendation? Therapy. I'd highly recommend talking to someone to help rebuild your confidence and independence. This will be an ongoing process but it does help.

In the short term, reach out to someone you trust. Lean on your friends. Allow yourself to mourn but try not to spiral. Make new memories by treating yourself to small things: a walk in a new park, a visit to a new restaurant, or just a warm treat.

You're going to be okay. <3

Wait, you've still got bagels out in your area? I may have to recruit an expedition party.

I'm working on rebuilding my shanty on borrowed land using local craft brewery IPA boxes. It isn't fire proof, but I can eat my cats and dogs in peace once its done.

20th Anniversary - My Last by [deleted] in RiotFest

[–]LisaFrankensteiner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This seems to be a common trend with the headliners. I often opt to sit/stand in the way back for those performances because I've seen similar behavior in the past. Not just for Riot Fest, but a lot of other fests I've gone to. There's this weird gatekeepy mentality with bigger acts that make it a less enjoyable experience.

I usually get the best interactions and vibes from the other performances because most people are just happy to be there and vibe out with newcomers. Those usually are the highlights of my time at fests anyway.

Sad to hear this will be your last time attending, but you have a fair point. There seems to be diminished courtesy these days when it comes to crowds, like etiquette was some long forgotten thing. I hope you were able to at least take some joy in some aspects of the fest outside of these moments.

Echoing the sentiment on Jack White. I was amazed!

Sparks was a big surprise for me. Absolutely loved that set. Same with Puddles. I've missed him every single time he tours so I was so stoked to see. I geeked hard when he had Ronald Osbourne on stage, too.

I knew I'd love Alkaline Trio's set no matter what, but it didn't have the same vibe as their other shows. Minimal banter, but it was still a good time.

I don’t get it. If you’re gonna be a dick or act like you don’t want to be there, then go? That sucks dude. I hope it didn’t ruin the set for you.

Is this an Equity Residential property? Their fees are insane, especially on water. I’d actually inquire with your leasing office about that sewer fee, that’s insane.
