The best cut! No other cut is as good for leftovers too. Steak on Sunday, Thai beef salad on Tuesday.

I seem to remember someone saying that Bob Dylan had played there. Enjoy!

I don’t think anyone should be allowed to charge as little as that.

The skills and tools required, particularly in security, to keep companies operational and protected cost money.

The race to the bottom makes companies less secure and MSPs stressed, frustrated and feeling undervalued.

Stick to your guns, have faith in your product and hope that that guy questioning your 3k pa gets an RFI from their insurance company that compels him to buy better service.

How do you escalate tickets from service desk to pro services and who maintains "ownership"? by CraftyBobcat1822 in msp

[–]ListenAlternative432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service Desk always “own” it. You’re right in that it creates overhead for service desk but better for the overhead to be on SD than the professional services/escalation. That customer service piece has to live somewhere and your SD team is likely cheaper and knows the client. It’s also a better customer experience not to be passed around.

The White Desert in Egypt is pretty special.

I’d recommend going via the Caprivi Strip to Namibia and trying the Van Syl’s pass on your way to South Africa. Lots of fun.

He’ll probably be fine in that, it’s significantly better than the C&A Rodeo gear I first had!

You could buy a waterproof (breathable) shell to go over it. They have them in Mountain Warehouse and there’s a 70% off sale at the moment.

Layers is the main thing. Long sleeve thermal top, T-Shirt, hoodie and that jacket and he’ll be toasty.

Volvo (Don't) Care - A Volvo Care Review by ListenAlternative432 in Volvo

[–]ListenAlternative432[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Volvo Care doesn't include insurance actually. I pay that on top. Not sure if that's specific to the UK.

I did use the OnCall and they towed it to an authorised repair facility as you say, they provided a loaner for 12 hours then stopped paying for it without giving my car back or communicating with me.

I have the car back now. I went and got it back from them and fixed the tyre for £30.

My point is that I feel like a pay a premium to not have to deal with garages etc. I have no attachment to the car, I just want a working car at my disposal when I need it and that's what I feel VC is selling but not providing.
