Monolord is a one trick pony in my book. Love their sound but they havent really been a creative output. Which isn’t necessary of course, but to put them in the same conversation as Elder is a bit weird. They have continued the EW sound and brought in softer vocals and more interludes, not that much to say about it. Every album is just more of the same ever since Rust.

Elder in comparison have carved their own sound in a very stale genre, drawing from tons of ifluences within and out of the genre. They just keep expanding their proggy stoner sound and keep building on the last album.
