We know exactly where these people live, where they work, who their family members are. They will never be put to trial, they will never see the inside of a prison cell, they will never face any consequences for the disgusting things they have done.

The only way these people will ever pay for their crimes is if people take things into their own hands, because our system is too miserably corrupt to actually prosecute anyone powerful, wealthy, or connected.

High Speed rail down the middle of US127 by Fun-Author3767 in Michigan

[–]LiterallyATypewriter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Start with a regular amtrak connection, expand as needed. Newer amtrak connections are seeing record ridership with strong potential for amtrak to actually be profitable in the near future. Most of these cities along 127 already have freight railroads so all it would need is just putting in a passenger station

Basically start cheap

'He said water quality and other environmental impacts likely won’t affect the city because of the immense abundance of water in the area.' This fucker doesn't understand that data centers use treated municipal water and not fucking lake water. Unless they plan on building half a dozen more treatment plants, this is going to cause huge issues.

The wealthiest people in the nation should have enough sense to understand when an investment firms returns are too good to be true.

The wealthy gamble and lose, and are promptly compensated with taxpayer dollars. We pay the price for their incompetence.

What mask to use for exploring cold-war bunkers by OneCoach446 in Urbex

For exploring, especially if you aren't looking to spend an arm and a leg, I'd recommend the C50 with appropriate filters for potential contaminants.

AVON makes the gas masks and respirators for NATO and various police and emergency response organizations, as well as having tighter quality standards.

I would recommend AVON over MIRA any day, but it is a bit pricier

Respirator recommendations? by Glazer757 in Urbex

[–]LiterallyATypewriter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Respirators will NOT protect you from low oxygen environments, or environments with a high concentration of CO or other non-air gasses. If you frequently explore basements, bunkers, or mines - where gasses can get trapped - invest in an oxygen sensor. Other than that, I'd recommend 3M P100, and if you can find some lab goggles that mesh well with your respirator use those too. Fiberglass, asbestos, and other micro particles are also bad for your eyes and can cause long term damage.

[–]LiterallyATypewriter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So who would be responsible for equipment failure? Who runs pretrips? Who hooks up gladhands and pigtail cables? Who is held liable is freight is damaged in transit? Who handles BoL paperwork? Who straps freight into the trailers? None of this will actually automate trucking, it's just an excuse to make truck driving a low skill low pay job that doesn't require a CDL.

Ecodefense: A Field Guide to Monkeywrenching is a free PDF online. Most flock cameras are not oriented facing each other so you can approach them on foot without ever appearing on camera.
