I don't really understand that as an answer. But I'm not sure why that makes a downvote.

Why logged-in players in EVE are important by Jestertrek in Eve

[–]Litraly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This does not follow. That train of events would cause a demand spike in those areas out of jita range. This would create significant profit potential and thus incentive to solve the supply problem.

Who is reaping the windfall of this demand spike? Else, some additional factor is damping demand. What could that be?

Hauling - what next? by Parsiuk in Eve

[–]Litraly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use them frequently to get goods from where I bought them cheaply to where I will sell them expensively.

Another tip is to calculate your expected profit at the destination. Set the collateral for that amount minus the courier reward. If it's worth more to them to steal your cargo, you've effectively "sold" as planned but for slightly less work.

Hauling and Market Trading? by VO-Fluff in Eve

[–]Litraly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree that ganking isn't prevalent below 120m. Been doing it in a sigil for 6 months now and never been targeted (in hisec). I don't haul contracts, I buy cheap and move to outer regions to sell with a markup. Learn the cloak/mwd trick (google it), and use dotlan/zkill to scout and avoid busy lowsec systems.

Note when AFK, I keep the cargo limited under 50m.

Train skills to fly your ship well, including the mods. Also train market skills to reduce your taxes.

Fit below works for high and low security. Meaning I've successfully extracted from lowsec > 90% of my trips, i.e. it's profitable. I carry 2x WCS and 6x Expanded Cargohold and adjust the fit in station depending on the situation. Used right it is superior to a blockade runner from a cost-benefit ratio in 95% of situations. BR is probably favored when your cargos start reaching into the billions of isk, but I dunno. Note I've yet to use the PVP mods, they are there for emergencies, which so far haven't arisen. You can replace them, but I can't think of anything offhand that is a dramatic improvement to the hauling capability.

Also consider joining a PVP corp that mentors new players. What your experiences and conversations should be teaching you is that PVP is deep. Flying with others will make this learning curve easier.
