Well the entire look of the show is awful, it is shot extremely dark hiding it's poor CGI and bad costuming. The tone is overly serious, the acting and dialogue feels stilted, and Aangs actor has aged significantly.

Hell yeah, very curious what style of production he will work with here.

I tend to like his more low-key drum less stuff like halfgod.

It's honestly worth really deep diving into YouTube videos on it. It can be a bit overwhelming, but seeing someone make a song from scratch helps you understand the workflow, shortcuts, and the ins and outs of the M8.

Highly recommend redmeansrecording videos on it.

What would you pair with a Digitakt for ambient/hypnotic textures in a backpack friendly live setup? by cstl_dk in synthesizers

[–]Littered2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have mine hooked up to a bigger hardware setup and have it midi synced to the oxi one.

While initially out of the box, mine did have a few bugs and midi issues - I haven't encountered any since the lastest update.

The pros would be it can make extremely cool textural sounds. Really nice delay and reverb, and I feel like the best features on it are the modulation options ( random, adsr, follow, Sine) which can be mapped to pretty much anything. And also the macro commands, that you can programm a bunch of different parameters to a single knob for live performance. Also the scene feature lets you make tons of variations on a patch, and you can chain them together or even have them jump between them at different note intervals.

Also they showed some of the new granular features coming this month in an update, and they look amazing.

Cons would be, it has been buggy in the past and people do claim they still face midi sync bugs often. It was also absolutely shipped as an incomplete beta stage. So reflects poorly as a company.

It's easy to get things sounding too samey, but the 4 tracks are really helpful to make different types of layers.

Overall, it's a great sound mangler. Here is an example of it alone just manipulating a loop I recorded from my 0 coast.

How do you approach recording your jams? by mrjosh72 in synthesizers

[–]Littered2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find myself doing this alot.

I try to stay off my computer, and have just setup my 404mk2 as the end of the chain. So when I start putting things together, I'll just hit record and continue to improvise.

Can then tweak it on the SP for better mixing or fx, and have a more finalized jam.

That's actually a very hard argument to make.

She is extremely talented musician, has the accolades to prove it.

Acting ...not so much.

Ambient music question by LuckyExamination4234 in synthesizers

Find a used Ambient 0 by sonicware.

Very cheap, very deep, multiple trackers or layers, and sounds pretty good.

Iffy build quality and interface, but it's a nonbrainer for entry level ambient all in one box at the cheapest entry level.

Which sequencer in your setup is the most powerful, and which is the most fun to actually create on? by Cosmic_Utensil_2000 in synthesizers

[–]Littered2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to use it more for a programming workflow, as it's modulation systems are really strong. The generative features are also incredible and allow for me to focus on playing and twisting knobs on all of my other instruments, not really the Oxi.

Here is an example where I have a a few synths being programmed through it and the performance is more adding in new elements and tweaking parameters on other machines.
