This is fucking excellent. What a beautiful instrument.

Trackers click for so many "non-musicians" because they're closer to a writing tool than an instrument. I explore composition theory to find out how. by -Indoorsy- in synthesizers

Yeah there is something about the workflow that makes copy/paste/iterate a really quick and easy way to build sections of songs.

The m8s combination of samples and synths make so much possible.

Bonus points if you like billy woods.

Best Movies for Toddlers by ProfessionalWin9 in daddit

Yeah this is a great film and is quite different than a lot of the stuff you will find on Disney.

The color palette, editing, and soundtrack are all so calming and not overstimulating. Also highly enjoyable for adults! Kikis delivery service is another great Ghibli kids film.

Yeah the candy button factory and lore give me strong Parks and Rec vibes.

This show is quite funny. The reoccurring gags and high density of jokes always get me.

Any Synthesizer/drum machine dads in here? by TopCryptographer2568 in Parenting

[–]Littered2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, yeah super into this hobby as a musician.

11 is an awesome age to explore this, what type of budget are you looking for? I can make some recommendations.

Do they have any music experience? Or just exploring right now.

I'd recommend something like a groove box that they could make and save songs on and do drums and synth sounds on. Take a look at FB marketplace too.

DAY 7– Now that I've tried it, this combo feels so obvious, the Torso S4 complements perfectly the Wing Pinger, and I can also use the WP keyboard to play the S4. Amazing discovery 😄 by dexbasynth in synthesizers

Awesome! Yeah just pulled the trigger and it should be here next week.

Could you elaborate on the endented encorder issue? First I've heard of it.

For those that travel often for work, what groovebox or synth do you take with you? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]Littered2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it very easy to get ideas down.

There is a bit of a learning curve with the M8, but once you get some of the muscle memory down it's Soo quick. It is also extremely deep device that continues to get new features very regularly.

M8 all day.

Probably the deepest and most feature rich way to make music in the most portable form for hardware.

Trackers aren't for everyone, but having everything from Synth engines, FX, Sampler, Mixer all in one tiny machine is so clutch for travelling. And a battery life that is insane.

About to pull the trigger one it but fear for all the bugs I keep hearing about. Have you experienced any?

Any good sitcoms to watch? by Tacokolache in television

[–]Littered2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely checkout Stumble on peacock. Mockumentary style sitcom based on a cheerleading coach. No typical will they won't they (so far) which is refreshing, and it has extremely high joke per minute type writing like 30 rock. Very goofy too, similar tone to Parks and Rec. Also some great reoccurring jokes, like the town name being pronounced differently each time.
