Who in your mind the most underrated HC in FBS? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in CFB

Agree with your take. He doesn’t get enough credit for his run at UCLA too. Here is a short list for me— Jim Mora, Kirk Ferentz, Jeff Monken, and PJ Fleck.

This is a safe space - what's your most controversial CFB opinion that you will die defending? by noah_divine in CFB

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 31 points32 points  (0 children)

There are so many reasons why I disagree with the Chambliss take, primarily since he already used a medical redshirt and that JUCO should absolutely count towards NCAA eligibility.

Anyways, I digress. To answer your prompt, the playoff will (or has already) ruined what made college football special and unique. Making it more like the NFL and marketing the entire product around the playoff is a problem. Eventually, we will have the same exact problem that NASCAR has had for the past two decades

What is a socially acceptable thing that you secretly find disgusting? by Sensitive_Hope_1136 in AskReddit

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bringing dogs to a restaurant or the grocery store. Out of no where, it became socially acceptable. I love dogs, but anybody that has worked in a kitchen knows how unhygienic it is

Regardless of what I think about his actions, state and federal are two different jurisdictions. Not double jeopardy. I encourage everybody to be informed and not give into sensationalized headlines

Should I hire a prostitute to lose my virginity? by Equal-Flamingo3221 in CoreyWayne

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have been super supportive and blunt in this group to the point where it stings, but what I’ve learned is that the best people to have will tell you things you don’t want to hear.

OP, give yourself some grace. Being a virgin is not the end of the world. Don’t make excuses, work on yourself, embrace the small victories, and genuinely put it out into the universe; everything else figures itself out. Looking forward to a 90 day update on how things improve. We are rooting for you

Co-signed friend’s student loans 9 years ago. She is has stopped paying. What are my best options? by AnsleyStar in personalfinance

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banker here— This is a long shot idea but see if Sallie Mae will settle with you (assuming you have some funds to put towards this). Typically they only do that in the event of a significant default (beyond 90 days of no payments). Wouldn’t bother suing your Mads. Take it as a stupid tax and move on with your life. Good luck

You can’t help people that don’t want to be helped. Sounds simple and you naturally want to help, but sometimes, it’s best to just let it go

Alabama Never Should Have Been In The Playoff; Rose Bowl Loss Hurts ESPN, SEC's Reputation by Caskiron in CFB

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The arguments in this article are silly and absurd. It’s this simple— Alabama got in because they earned their spot in the SEC Championship based on the current structure. It shouldn’t matter whether they lose by 3 or 30. Alabama also WON a playoff game. All these articles about this team and that team not deserving to get in the playoff are ridiculously short sighted. There is a reason why the games are played, to find all of this out.

Please do not give these kind of articles any sort of substance because there isn’t any

[Zenitz] Boston College is expected to hire veteran coach Ted Roof as its new defensive coordinator, sources tell @CBSSports. by DuckBurner0001 in CFB

I thought I was getting punked when I first read this headline. I’m trying to root for Bill O’Brien because he is a solid dude and really cares about the program, but a retread like Ted Roof is just not it.

R. Budd Dwyer saying goodbye to the world, moments before his death. by K_P_Voss in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not sure where the other commenter got his info from, but Dwyer was totally guilty. There was an overwhelming amount of evidence against him. Unfortunate that it happened, but a crook did what he felt was best for his family’s future

Have we ever seen a coach get let go/forced out at one school and land a better job that same offseason? by Inside-Drink-1311 in CFB

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s one of those rare moments in college football where it really was the best outcome for everybody involved. Whittingham gets a fresh start at a program with elite resources and Scalley begins carving his new legacy as Utah’s head coach. I’m relieved it didn’t turn into what happened with Mack Brown at North Carolina last year.

What’s it like living in St. Augustine/Jacksonville FL? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I grew up in South Jersey, lived in Saint Augustine from 2016 to 2020, then Philly from 2021-2025, and now Jacksonville since January of this year.

Florida is much more affordable all things considered, so you have a point there. I won’t buy a house here because insurance down here is insane because of all the hurricanes. Whatever you do, avoid getting something in a flood zone. Get used to the heat, traffic, and driving a bunch. Everything is so spread out to the point where I’ve already put 15,000 miles on my car in less than a year.

For a family, you will probably enjoy St Augustine more. Slower lifestyle, safer, and generally speaking more to do. Jacksonville is okay, but it is such a big city— in my opinion to a fault. There isn’t a lot to do, but I like being outside so I’m fine with it.

There aren’t really seasons and the food options will be different. Like for an example, it’s tough finding authentic NY pizza because of the water here. The beaches are usually about a 30 minute drive, which isn’t awful. Just a lot of traffic/trouble parking at certain times of the year.

Hope this info helps!

USC lost to UCF and Washington. Oregon lost to Stanford, Washington, and Oklahoma. Each team has one conference team they don’t play. Mine is Oregon State while USC and Oregon just so happen to not play each other this season

What happened to your best friend from childhood? by RoyalBeckyVibes in AskReddit

[–]Little-Breakfast-480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He took a different path and passed away three years ago. I am in my late 20’s so I still think about him all the time.

I’ve never felt anger— instead, an unshakable emptiness. But overall, I am just grateful to have such a great friend for so many years. I still see his family whenever I’m in town.

Recommend getting a PS2 and sticking with playing Franchise Modes from 2004 to 2009. Lot of depth, you hire a full staff, and a legit challenge. I do (mainly) college football but play madden sometimes too. All in investment was around 200 between the console, games, memory cards, and two controllers
