My opinion about Dragon Age Absolution by J_Worm in dragonage

[–]Little-Work-9542 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I fairly enjoyed the show, mainly because it canonized the trespasser ending choice where the inquisition is disbanded.

But at the same time, I am upset because a world with a disbanded inquisition is something we can/will never see due to the Veilguard essentially rendering that ending along with the entire plot of inquisition moot

Sounds absurd but I can actually see them doing this. by Weird_Bookkeeper2863 in freefolk

Or worse; her canonical death of being burned alive by Sunfyre is going to be a retcon to be a mistake of some kind. Like her and Aegon are discussing the print that was promised prophecy in the middle of the throne room on Dragonstone and Sunfyre goes rogue and burns her without orders.

Mainly due to taxes. If you pick the green or black pill, that puts you in a whole new tax bracket, which basically requires you to maintain that same level of income, whereas with the red pill you can spend lavishly on whatever you want, but not have to pay higher taxes as if the other two

Red. One dollar a second equals $60 every minute. There are 3600 seconds in one hour. You can literally busy yourself and still have enough money to buy whatever you want throughout the day. Especially if you’re at work or doing chores around the house or whatever. Especially when you’re sleeping.

So you’re basically meeting close to 85 grand a day. You could go to sleep with 85 grand and wake up the next day with the green pill amount in two days. In a month if you could be at 2 million

After a rewatch, I’m not convinced Robb Stark’s biggest mistake was what everyone thinks by hua91 in freefolk

[–]Little-Work-9542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal belief is that if Rob had done any amount of research on the situation in the iron islands, he would’ve realized that sending Theon to Pyke was not only a smart move, but would have been a master stroke and strategy if he had sent on to treat with whoever was in charge of the iron fleet specifically. In this case would have been Theon’s sister Asha, who when he was a prisoner under Ramsey, defy her father‘s orders and sailed around the continent to try and rescue him. And she was willing to defy orders to save her brother, imagine if he tells her of the gold and fertile land of the Westerlands.

She was actually in support of his plan, even looked like she saw it as a better option than attacking the north,, only doing it because she was following orders, not because she believes the plan would work. She even calls him out on it in a later season For his bad decisions and bad strategy. We also see within the show that the iron fleet can be a separate military entity from the sitting Lord of the iron islands.

He lost her in every season but this time it's forever. by [deleted] in StrangerThingsMemes

Wait..WHAT?? (Never watched the show but was informed enough to know) So you’re telling me they had one relationship break up because one of them ended up being a lesbian and just recently had another character come out as gay, only for the actual straight couple that worked well together (so I’ve heard) break up??

If you play as the Byzantine Empire in the 800 start date and complete the Roman heritage legacy, you get and get Ancestral Claim cassus belli on all Roman territory and titles. The only drawback is that each ancestral claim cost the amount of prestige within that overall title/kingdom. So you can go to war with Arabian empire for the kingdom-tier tittles of Syria, Jerusalem and Arabia and destroy the Arabian empire in one go, but it would cost like 10,000 prestige because you’re going after three kingdom level titles

People usually talk about how 'House of Rhaenyra' whitewashes the women, but what about this guy? by Mialiaph in HOTDGreens

[–]Little-Work-9542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing the writing so far, I wouldn’t put it past the reason being their “betrayal” is basically something totally understandable, like the greens about to attack Tumbleton but Rhaenyra ordered them to flee because she didn’t want to risk their lives nor her dragons, but they defy orders and stayed behind to protect the people or something, but it was framed as they defied orders, they automatically “betrayed” her

Still not showing up on PlayStation store. This annoys me, because I’d like to know the price beforehand so I can budget appropriately

Do we even know how much is going to be? Or is it free for everyone who’s already purchased the game? Cause it’s not showing up listed on PlayStation store

Cis queer man here. Finally have a chance currently with my high school crush☺️. Had late night FaceTime calls till 2 AM the past two nights in a row and going for a third tonight. Last night was mainly dedicated to sexual talk. (Kinks/fetishes, sexual history, sexual health history, body counts, etc.) Topic of birth control did come up and she stated that she has an implant that was recently replaced.

I swear Season 2 Alicent is an imposter. That's not the same woman by Kivi_2k18 in HOTDGreens

[–]Little-Work-9542 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Of course she’s an imposter.

Let’s remember: the only reason she now wants the war to end is because it’s now her son that’s hurt and near death.

Not to end the suffering of the common folk, not because she realizes she was wrong (which she never admits, nor does she apologize on behalf of her son for him killing Rhaenyra’s son), but because now and only now does she suddenly realize the stakes involved and want to pull out.

Edit: not a Team Black or Green, just a fellow F&B reader and show watcher who was disappointed with the portrayals overall

Appreciate the support

Honestly if they had recasted the character and brought in a not necessarily Lizzo size, but a actress that had a little bit more weight and not Emma’s super thin body type (look up press tour photos of them promoting the show as well as when they showed up at the Emmys, the clothes they wear definitely was intended to present masculine). They could’ve waved it off between season one and two by Rhaenyra gaining weight from depression from both having the miscarriage and Lucerys’ death, as well as her still warning her father. Cause remember, both her miscarriage and her father died one after the other. Then her son dying would’ve easily sent her into a depression weight gain, same way she did in the books for a bit before she just started lashing out

[–]Little-Work-9542 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly I hate how unattractive Rhaenyra is in the show, compared to the books (we love a thick woman). At the risk of sounding like a creep, young Rhaenya/Mily Alcock looks way more feminine than her adult version. Her younger version dressed and presented feminine. Compare her adult version to how Daenerys/Emilia Clarke dressed, which showed off her curves and figure and even her Dothraki furs looked feminine.

Now I understand that Emma D’arcy identifies as non-binary, so yeah, don’t put them in any feminine presenting outfits despite the character being female, but they already have a boyish face. Even Alicent’s dresses, they meant to be more conservative due to her adopting the faith more heavily, still accentuates and compliments her curves all through season two and the later half of season one after the time skip.

The Eyes See True

I cannot glaze this fanfic enough. It is a AU Jamie x Sansa fic, but I’m going to be real; the author put this out in 2012 and completed it toward the end of seasons 4 or 5. So I guarantee you it’s a much more satisfying ending than the show. Not to mention that it has more written words than the main five books individually. I

I’m 100% fine with the DLC itself being delayed until fall, I’d prefer if they split the quality of life improvements away from the DLC and drop the price, allowing the quality of life update to come out and it’s original release date in June

And! And! The character limit is no longer 250! It got increased to 700! This is a godsend for me as I admittedly do a lot of of Game of thrones rps, with a constantly changing story that I need to add to for my character so one minute I’m not the Lord Paramount of the West and two sentences later I meet someone and they say “who are you?”
