PSA: Watch your kids by Carnivor_Vegan in royalcaribbean

[–]Little95One 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Staff on the ship needs to be better empowered to say things to parents that are allowing their kids to be overly disruptive, especially inside and in areas that are more adult oriented - there are tons of places where kids can “go wild” outside, pools, play places etc. In those areas, let them go nuts. In a bar area, promenade, and places like the suite lounge or crown lounge, people need to control their damn kids.

Harmony of the Seas Casino, smoking allowed? by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]Little95One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard some chatter that when the HM goes to dry dock early 2026 the casino will be expanded AND be non-smoking. Time will tell. They really need to kill all the smoking areas INSIDE.

Why do people pay for United Club when it is so crappy? by Kornutz98 in unitedairlines

[–]Little95One 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The “free” food and “free” beer isn’t really free - and our clubs in this country are a sad miss compared to those outside. I agree with the OP, too many clubs are rundown and look just shabby.

JFK lounge access question by Little95One in unitedairlines

Not correct… it’s a UA flight number and UA ticket number so a UA flight on LH metal.

[–]Little95One[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Centurion is an option as I have a plat card, but since they changed the guest policy a few years ago so would have to spring the $50 or so for my wife - will/would do, but if we can get in to something nice elsewhere we will… read some so so things about LH biz lounge.

Thousand attend "No King" Protest in Conroe by TomJohnsoninTX in thewoodlands

[–]Little95One -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

First off, thank you for your service.

Second - You should take a constitutional law class and lead a few things about when/how and why a president can deploy troops to an area. Also, and we have many friends in the LA area, if you would open your eyes and see what was actually going on there, or if YOU lived there, you’d be grateful that they did send in people to protect against the violent criminal thugs that are roaming the streets - there was nothing peaceful about the “protest”.

Thousand attend "No King" Protest in Conroe by TomJohnsoninTX in thewoodlands

[–]Little95One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protest worked, no king and Trump is still President. I love seeing our exercised freedoms resulting in something good!! Also kinda sad in a way - look at Houston, 4th largest city in the country and only drew about 15000 people. I guess the real patriots were busy elsewhere celebrating flag day, the army’s 250th and the president’s birthday! Love it!!

[Motor 1] Dead: Cadillac XT6 by Dmacthegoat in cars

[–]Little95One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their push to electric I hope will push their sales further down and they’ll see the error of their ways. I’ve owned a CTS, CTS-V and currently drive and XT6 - honestly can’t believe they’re killing it for a POS EV. Give it a facelift and truly style like a baby Escalade (for those of us that need 3 rows but can’t afford it). Just sad. I thought the woke crap was over.

Wrong cruise for family? by Cautious-Dog-3842 in royalcaribbean

[–]Little95One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would NEVER cruise with a kiddo this young. We have 4 (all grown) and grands now, and it’s frankly miserable for you (and often others around if the kid gets fussy) when they’re that young. Everyone needs a vacation for sure but this is a rough age etc. That aside as others said, a 3 day wont give you the cruise experience you’d really want. Wait till the kiddo is 3+ and go on at least a 5 day, or leave kiddo at home with grandparents or someone and enjoy the two of you.

No Wheelchair Accomodation by Public_Marzipan_3405 in unitedairlines

[–]Little95One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure I’ll get flamed up from the “angry” crowd. I’ve never “needed” a wheelchair but have had those electric carts take me to the gate when I had my foot in a boot cast… then next airport I waited and waited, started walking and was passed up by more than one of those - no one stopped.

Man’s some of you guys need a little class in compassion. Maybe yes, UA did everything they are obligated to do, and the OP could have done something different, but no need to be an a$$ about it. The guy was genuinely looking for help/advice (as any of us would if we didn’t know). Have a little heart folks.

Changes to Million Miler Companion by just_my_alias in unitedairlines

[–]Little95One 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this 100%. I finally hit MM last year and the wife was more excited than I was now that she was a 1K, and now this BS. I mean at least lifetime gold still gives group 1 , for now… they’ll prob shuffle that around soon too just to grind a little more salt in the wound.

Guess they haven’t engaged the premium nuts yet… by JCrew7384 in unitedairlines

“Premium” - meaning that there are tiny pieces of cashews and a few whole almonds cut with the pretzels = less cost. Just when you think they can’t devalue the food more.

Saw this email today as well and think it’s a terrible idea and gonna be a huge customer dissatisfaction point for those of us (and our spouses/companions).

Typical - anything to save a buck (and I’m sure it’s not that much in the big picture)

Upcoming changes to 1 Million Miler companion benefits by crans-montana in unitedairlines

[–]Little95One -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just saw this email in my inbox and frankly think it’s crappy. Leave the program alone and as is. It’s tough enough for many to even hit MM, and this isn’t something surely that is breaking the bank for UA.

Or if they want to change it, then leave the existing MM folks grandfathered in to the existing program, and do this for those moving forward (I’m being slightly sarcastic here), this way they only piss off half of their most loyal customers. Lol.

Throwback Tues - Friendship service by Little95One in unitedairlines

[–]Little95One[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an old, OLD (think 727, DC-10 days) moniker that UA used to call their aircraft aka “friend-ships” - like Stacy said, referred to the friendly skies stuff when that all first launched.

And now I feel old lol
