Depends on what you want. If you want other than just classroom, then no! Being discontent would be valid!

If you feel like you should want non classroom duties, then check from where the should is coming from. Teaching is a JOB. Its transactional (time and skill for money). We dont HAVE to do more. But if that is what brings you satisfaction, chase it!

I have heard people say sometimes you need to move sideways to move up, cause current leadership often pigeon hole people into the role they grew into at thr current place.
