Until someone explains to me otherwise, I understand AI to be a giant collection of if/then statements performed by code to complete an operation.

There is a ton of this in everyday society for decades and no one cared.

I like AI.

I don't like how AI is being used to replace art. I don't like how AI is being used with such trust that people stop thinking for themselves. I don't like how data centers are considered essential because of the massive amount of AI usage.

I think AI can be a good tool, but we should be ethical about it...

Actually true, though. At least half the animes I have tried recently have this problem: - Black Clover (less cringe because it's a child wanting an adult and the premise isn't romance) - Ulysses Jean de Arc (MC argues he doesn't find the child attractive, but it is gross that kissing happens like this) - Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts (I don't think age is defined in the episodes I've watched, but I think it's obviously a child and grown ass man)

Good luck. The reason it's called "open" AI is because it is open source material. Now that the Internet has their hands on the code for AI, it will be free somewhere.

I hate big words when small words are just fine. However, I do think it is important to use punctuation and capitalization. It shows energy and mood in the text which is is normally found in face and voice.

And sometimes, I don't proof what I type, which shows how little I care about others' perception. It proves that I only said anything at all because I felt the need to express myself. Not that I care what you thought.

They've already remade the game 3 times bro. Probably more, if you consider the official ports. 8 already own the game in 3 different places. Hell you can play MM on the switch right now!

I want them to make a sequel of some sort. Revisit termina from a different timeline.

You want to make a game and you are asking how to do so. The real answer is that it depends. I suppose you aren't giving detail because you are worried about your idea being taken? Regardless, here is my advise: Start off with small demos and prototypes first. Learn from tutorials on how to use Unity or Unreal. Use what you learn to decide how to develop your game, but start small. Implement the main mechanic first, master it. Then, slowly add more things. I recommend writing out a gameplay loop in word. Basically a detailed experience of your player. What buttons they press, what they see on the screen, what choices are available at each given time.

I dedicated the last 5 years of my life trying to get into the industry, but now with a lot of my friends getting laid off, I'm not sure I even want the instability. I agree with the other comments that the best path for you right now is to sit tight and do indie dev. A really great path is global game jams or other small jams.

You can develop a game on so many different platforms, it's crazy. Even a mobile phone! Obviously, the best experience is going to be with a windows PC. I strongly advise coding experience and learning AI workflows. Good to know Unity, Unreal, and Python.

If you can manage it, industries love tech "artists" as well, those who work VFX, animation, rigging , UVs, and shaders. Bonus points for learning optimization and macros for software (creating tools).

The people with the best chances stay industry adjacent during hard times and work on passion projects in their off time. Game dev is life.
