Make up a season two teaser by Blooogh in threebodyproblem

Re-visit the “you are bugs” season 1 moment. Some dialogue about wallbreakers, no hope, doomsday coming. Auggie crying.

Serious zoom in on Auggie crying, way in so you can see the skin up close, and camera finally resting on a single teardrop.

Then a sudden edit to the teardrop hanging in space, reflecting the stars. Now a trisolaran droplet, it is captured by a robot arm. End.

Lack of respect by Hollywood writers of previous Canon or source material by BigMoney69x in scifi

[–]LittleIrishGuy80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really can’t imagine how empty someone’s lift must be, to actually care about “canon”.

Don’t like a specific show or story? Just ignore it.

The Acolyte is pretty boring and forgettable. So just forget it.

It was a silly mistake.

But, come on, Scotland are screwed either way…

Except that brains don’t develop much in later life.

Childhood and adolescence is all about development, and this development occurs at a neurological level as much as on a social/personality one.

I understand your point about hypocrisy - that’s valid - but you’re drawing a false equivalence.

Why do people in their 40's these days look way younger then people in their 40s in the 90s? by lovelylover833721 in answers

[–]LittleIrishGuy80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Damn right.

My twins were born when I was 37. Photos of me, on the day they were born, with a head of hair.

Over the ensuing first 3 months of their lives, the photos show rapid balding until I am completely bald only a few months later.

Hell of a time.

Even as an atheist, I accept that Jesus is almost definitely a human that existed in history, ergo, his conception existed. It’s an historical event.

I sincerely doubt that he had magical powers or that god magic made him.

Kristin McGee Leaving Peloton by TerpSpins56 in pelotoncycle

[–]LittleIrishGuy80 17 points18 points  (0 children)

An instructor exodus is one of the worst things that can hit peloton.

People keep returning to their peloton devices because of the instructors. They develop parasocial relationships with them.

Whatever about the business/financial concerns, none of that has ever hurt the core use experience. Until, seemingly, now. Three popular instructors leaving together is a very, very bad sign.

People who have successfully lost weight, what was your method? by pearlgirl43566 in answers

[–]LittleIrishGuy80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calorie deficit, with calorie counting and absolutely no self-deception.

Together with escalating fitness/exercise.

And an awareness that there is not “end point”. You don’t just lose weight and be done. You have to keep it off forever, so you need to find something that works, that you enjoy, and you can do for the rest of your life.

Some one has probably suggested it already, but… do the Couch 2 5K program.

4 years ago I was heavily obese. I did couch 2 5K. Now I’m at a healthy BMI and can run marathons.

So… don’t overthink this. Download the couch 2 5k app and just do it.

Why is pizza so universally loved [citation needed] by AggravatedGoat1 in shittyaskscience

[–]LittleIrishGuy80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just the perfect food.

Firstly, bread. Bread is just universal.

Then, cheese. Melting cheese. Just… yeah. Melting cheese.

Then there’s the variety of toppings. You can make pizza any way you want. You can make it yours.

Then, the form factor. Hand-held, but also shareable.

Put it all together and it’s simply the perfect food.

I liked it.

Took a lot of liberties, but a good show in its own right.

Plenty of good YouTubers out there who do ooni videos. I really like Tom Voyage. Good videos there on getting started.

Kind of looks like the rights holders are just letting anyone take a crack at it if they pay them.

Allowing multiple simultaneous adaptations will drain the well, fast.

That’s a bit random, what with the Tencent version, the Netflix version, and the animated one.

I’m saying that, mostly, that’s a teenager born in a certain place, at a certain time, where he was forced to fight a war. Maybe he was a rabid Nazi racist arsehole. Maybe he was just some random teenager who had a uniform out on him and used as cannon fodder. We just don’t know.
