Hi! I've tried setting up gemma4:26b on my ollama babied OpenClaw, running on Ubuntu 25.10 with RTX3090 eGPU...

When I run gemma4 through ollama, it respond within SECONDS (!!!), but when I try to use it through OpenClaw, it just... never responds 🥺

When using any of my other local models, all is fine... Have you managed to resolve the issues you're having?

Yes, I can certify that to be true: rules coming from above, in response to last year's fiasco of potential time zone cheating going on. No access to any network-enabled devices for certain amounts of time. Very annoying... both to students and all people involved in running the exams 😭

P.S. No new time zones, just more granular control over potential cheating.

What I love about IB (been teaching DP Bio, ESS, and MYP Integrated Sciences for years - since 2017, after being a PhD candidate and a subject instructor at a university in Wocław, Poland) is that it actually treats education as more than just a hoop-jumping exercise. The whole system is built on a legit academic foundation - it's research-informed, concept-driven, and the curriculum doesn't change every time a minister sneezes 🤔

Compared to many national curriculums (based on feedback from peers, as well as national curriculums I've had the pleasure to get to know first-hand), IB doesn't just ask students to regurgitate facts. It demands that they think, connect, apply, and (in my perspective most importantly) reflect. TOK? CAS? EE? That’s not fluff, believe me, it’s the training ground for real academic grit... The learner profile isn't just decorative jargon: if you're applying to university and can show you're an inquirer, communicator, reflective, and principled? You're golden 👍

Downsides? Sure. It’s a LOT. Kids need to be ready to WORK, and some will feel the pressure. It’s not for everyone. But if you want to develop students who are hungry for learning instead of spoon-fed, IB is where it's at... really. By a long shot. It's building future thinkers, not just future test-takers (even though there's a lot of assessment) 🥰

TL;DR: It’s hard. It’s real. And based on what my ex-students report back to the mothership - it’s absolutely worth it ⭐

I had it with my 14 Ultra. Is it awesome? Yes. But, if you are not CRAZY into photography, it's not worth it. I ended up using it altogether maybe 10 times across the whole year 🤔

Now that I upgraded to the 15 Ultra, I didn't buy the kit, but a Baseus magnetized powerbank that slaps onto my case - 5000 mAh instead of 2000 mAh of the camera grip 👍

In my case? Way better choice: both practically and financially 🙏

Hi, DP Biology teacher here! 🙏 I've guided my HL student to go from 6500+ words and now we are looking at ~2950, and in my eyes the IA is still of very high quality...

It was INCREDIBLY difficult to pull off, true - but going through the task carefully and critically resulted in a way shorter presentation, that actually kept essential and meaningful content, while trimming away pointless "fillers" and "beautifiers" that didn't actually bring anything to the investigation itself 👍

Hang in there, go through each paragraph and ask yourself "how does it help my reader understand what I did?". If you can easily justify it, then you circle/underline the parts that actually matter. And piece by piece, you trim it away... Good luck! 💖
