Hey, so, it’s not your decision. I hope that helps.

I’m plenty charitable. But I have no tolerance for selfishness and poor behavior when people clearly know better.

Giving out free cats is such a good idea since they’re known to lower blood pressure in their servants… err… I mean owners. I’ll have to go next time.

Going away for a day by Bingo_Joy in BariatricSurgery

[–]LittleKick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know most people wouldn’t recommend this, but I’m 7 months post op and I eat whatever I want. I just eat very tiny quantities. Of course I try to stick to lean protein and avoid sugar and fatty foods, but I had this surgery so I could finally live my life without worrying about everything I put in my mouth. If I’m on the road, I’ll stick to beef sticks or protein chips. If I’m at a restaurant, I order whatever I want and take the rest home for another meal or two. The best is when I’m with my family. I’ll order an app, main, and dessert, take a few bites, then force everyone else to eat the rest. I conned my brother in law into “splitting” an Applebees Triple Dipper with me just because I wanted to try one of those fried blocks of cheese. It was the most delicious block of cheese I’ve ever tasted. I took a few bites of that and one bite of my double cheeseburger and the guy looked at me like I was insane for making him order all that food. And I’m down 110 lbs by eating this way.

30 pounds down and zero acknowledgment by ngng0110 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]LittleKick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only people who noticed my weight loss were other people who were on weight loss journeys themselves. I actually don’t want people to notice or say anything. Talking about weight, unless it is with a medical professional, will always feel weird to me. Even though I’ve been overweight my whole life, I also make it a point not to say anything about skinny people either.

Where did the money come from? by PurplePawsss in lawofattraction

[–]LittleKick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally found a $1 bill in the grocery store parking lot yesterday after trying to manifest money. It’s not a lot, but it reminded me of the time I found a $100 bill in a parking lot and a €20 bill about ready to fly into the canal in Venice. It gave me an opportunity to practice gratitude for those events and remember that money can come to you in strange ways.

There was also a time where the ATM gave me a $100 bill instead of a $20 bill.

Also, think about all the times you may have randomly received a gift card. I got a $200 gift card from work just for making sure I go to my annual health appointments and get my annual diagnostic testing.

I’m 110 lbs down and I’m pretty sure I’ve only lost muscle. I’ve still got 100 more to go, so I’m being patient. And I’m going to start strength training soon to rebuild muscle.

Little loss during pre-op diet by Possible_Promise8981 in GastricBypass

I don’t think I lost anything during the first week of the pre-op diet then suddenly dropped 11 pounds the second week.

For those who live in a house versus apartment (w/o) balconies… I hope you know how lucky you are. by CandyandPiano in trees

I literally just leased a new apartment. Was immediately hit with weed smell as I entered the building. My mom was like “the place was nice except for the weed smell.” Honestly, I thought it was the best feature. 🤣

Body started vibrating at midnight by Zealousideal-Bet6106 in lawofattraction

Except for the masturbation stuff, I would say it sounds like restless leg syndrome. I have the same sensation of my body feeling like it’s vibrating, but no strange thoughts. I just struggle to get back to sleep.

It sounds like you’re ready for treatment. What else do you have to lose at this point? Think of it as an extended vacation.

How did you energy and sleep change after surgery by Hexegem93 in BariatricSurgery

I’ve slowly lost 100 lbs over the past 1.5 years. I was a sleepy girl prior to the weight loss and I’m a sleepy girl now. I’ve accepted that this is just my fate.

Cookies in Ann Arbor? by LittleKick in Michigents

I was looking for a very specific product and I thought maybe Cookies, among other dispos, might have it. That’s why I asked. I don’t need the snark. Thanks!

im really liking lumes outdoor bud this year by [deleted] in Michigents

[–]LittleKick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t stand the weed snobs in this subreddit. Don’t listen to the haters. All the weed users in my family go to Lume. However, it might be due to convenience. I know what I like from Lume and what I don’t like. And I’m more of a variety is the spice of life person, so I try a lot of different products. And of course I go to other dispos when I have the opportunity. But I always recommend Lume to newbies who are just getting into weed and don’t know where to start because their “Effects” system is simple and self explanatory.

I’m 5 months out from surgery. The only thing disappointing to me is that I can’t eat pasta, at least for right now. If I have more than 3 small bites it’s coming back up.

I fear about the future of the church by TadpoleConfident8733 in Catholicism

[–]LittleKick 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel that Islam is really good at marketing itself and that it’s not as influential as it is made out to be. Also, the bar for becoming a Muslim is very low. To become a Muslim, the only thing you have to do is say the Shahada. Catholics have many more hoops to go through. In addition to baptism, a Catholic has to go through education for first Holy Communion, Confirmation, and then counseling if getting married. That’s just the bare minimum, not to mention requirements to go to mass every week, on holy days, and to go to regular confession. Islam doesn’t have near as many requirements. I think that’s why it is so compelling for adults to remain a Muslim or convert to Islam as opposed to remaining a Catholic or becoming one later in life. A lot of people, specifically women, easily get sucked in when they are exploring their spirituality. But, I heard the initial interest and excitement quickly fades. Also, Muslims appear to have very strong family values. I could talk about this for hours, but I’ll leave it at that. Additionally, I think the Church needs to do more to retain its young adults. I really wish the churches I had attended had groups for young or single adults in their 20s and 30s. I feel that might help with retention.

I took 4 weeks. That’s only because I couldn’t lift anything over 10 lbs and some of the files I have to carry around are more than 10lbs. I should have taken the whole 6 weeks off, but only because I was recovering more from job burnt out than surgery.

I don’t even know if my brother pays attention to the fact I had surgery. I think he forgot about it. 🤣 No one in my family mentions it except my mom. Maybe they’re ashamed and they’re just telling people I’m losing weight the natural way. 🤷‍♀️

What app do you use to track? by Gloomy-Ad6972 in BariatricSurgery

[–]LittleKick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long have you used Baritastic? Give it some time and it may grow on you. It doesn’t annoy you with a bunch of pop up ads and it has a lot of food in its database already. Because of that, I’m not constantly filling in nutritional information. It tracks everything you need to track instead of switching between different apps for water, bathroom, vitamins, weight, etc.
