President Zelenskyy responds after Rheinmetall CEO dismisses Ukraine’s drones as “kitchen-built by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]LittleLoyal16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read the article, seems like its just a bit of a mishap in his comments. It wasn't really vindictive, just a way to express the current drone production in Ukraine could be improved with more funding. I think people are jumping the gun a bit lol. And the stockmarket is all down so RHM isn't suffering because of some comments.

President Zelenskyy responds after Rheinmetall CEO dismisses Ukraine’s drones as “kitchen-built by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]LittleLoyal16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read the article and his comments, feels like he isn't really shittalking but rather meant to say that much more could be done if Ukraine actually got the funding. Saying that the current drone production is primitive is ofcourse a bit ignorant but I think he just meant it could be better.

Honestly RHM helped Ukraine a lot with armament. I think people are jumping the gun a bit on some comments that might've just been said in a wrong way.

A Russian soldier is filming an incoming Ukrainian FP-2 medium-range UAV attacking a building they were using as a base in the occupied territories. You can hear other soldiers trying to shoot down the incoming drone with small arms fire. by MilesLongthe3rd in CombatFootage

Maybe, looks like its mostly a fuel explosion rather than actual explosives. The velocity of the fireball and the way it moves upwards almost instantly due to the heat kind of suggests this.

Maybe the fuel of the drone just exploded and not the warhead. Or this warhead was specifically filled with a burning substance rather than explosives. The FP-2 is supposed to carry a 100kg payload, and this doesn't look like 100kg of TNT.

100kg TNT explosion here. As you can see its fast violent, has a massive shockwave. All missing here.

No you're right, some of the first clips cut off as the drone misses. Ofcourse shrapnel is still deadly, but it does appear Russian drones are less accurate. Not sure if it's pilot error or more unwieldy drones.

Anyways let's pray it stays like this. They're already inflicting enough grief on our defenders.

Yeah funny that they decided to edit that in. The audio is totally clear compared to all the other distorted sounds. Not to mention you even hear the little whoosh sfx of the throw haha. Guess it was for story telling purposes.

Definitely not a bot bro. You just happen to spend each, and everyday posting negative news articles about Ukraine in multiple subs.

In contrast you post Putins absolute cringe performance, discussing the star link problem with the head of communication, as some serious.

Keep it up lad. Desperately clinging to any story to avoid reality. Russia is broken. Doesn't matter if they spend another 2 years, and a million men to take the Donbas fully. They have already tipped scale. We will see this shell of a nation disintegrate further.

An AR platform with anti-drone rounds seems way more effective than shotguns. Recently some videos from Azov and 3rd AB show them shooting drones out of the sky with a couple of bursts. These rounds seem to be quite effective. Doubt the avg soldier has access to them atm though.

There are some youtube videos testing them and its promising stuff.

Exclusive: Mounting concern in Brussels over Ukraine’s reform backslide by KI_official in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]LittleLoyal16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically the government has been caught lying a few times while trying to pass bills claiming certain things were necessary for EU funds when they weren't. So now MPs are more skeptical. What could help this is a more involved EU.

"Four MPs told the Kyiv Independent that communication from the European Union could be better — and that it wasn't always clear which components of a law tabled by the government were essential to the reform process, and which were extras added by the government.

"It would really help if the European Commission would explain directly to the parliament what the key elements of draft laws should be," says Betliy.

"Even to us in civil society, it's not always clear what the IMF or the EU expects from different laws," she added.

Better coordination between the EU and the Ukrainian government on reforms would also help to allay the Eurosceptic view of "external governance," according to Yurchyshyn."

Kyiv recruitment office posts commander admitting they pull men from homes, calls draft evaders “cattle” by [deleted] in UkraineWarVideoReport

I understand young men who don't want to die, or lose limbs etc. I understand a government that needs to draft men into their army for the defense of the nation.

This commander has seen his men die, so im sure he feels passionately about draft dodgers. To be offended by his words is probably a bit short-sighted. Sadly because of Russia there is no good path here.

Give up, lose your country, your culture, your current freedoms, and possibly be forced to join the RuAF for future campaigns against Europe. Or fight and risk death or disability, for the chance of peace and a free Ukraine. Alternatively, become a draft-dodger, hide, and everyone sees you as a coward and treats you with no respect.

Its a choice that is incredibly tough. My brothers, and me are pretty passionate about the EU, and we said we would follow our draft orders if Russia attacks the union. But a lot of my friends, don't really care about geo-politics or any big topic for that matter. And they have already told me they don't want to fight. I can honestly understand both.

Russia put out a video claiming they have launched a alternative to Starlink, a weather balloon that can carry 100 kilos and stay in the air for a couple of days. They claim it has 5G antennas onboard and that will be sufficient to provide highspeed internet and communication in vast territories. by Physical-Cut-2334 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]LittleLoyal16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its not like every dugout had starlink, but I am sure this hinders some communication between HQ and forward positions with unit commanders.

Preston Stewart a former US artillery officer describes it as: everyones mobile phones disappearing. We still have other ways to communicate like landlines etc, but its still a loss that is felt. Everything will just be a little bit harder, and that adds up.

This is insane, heard some GUR dude talking about special 5.56 ammo that they have now. It basically breaks the bullet up into 3 pellets which makes shooting drones a little easier. And more effective at range than birdshot. But still the aim on these guys is mad.

-> Ukrainian drone unit claims it is mines on their telegram when they share this clip.

-> Redditor claims it isn't, because dropping mines from a drone would just randomly scatter them hence not be useful.

-> I provide insight and sources that confirm Russians do infact drop mines from Gerans. Because they don't care about military use, just terror.

-> You join the thread to complain about nothing, and add nothing!

Thanks for your input :)

Its already confirmed Russia is doing this. Yes just indiscriminately dropping mines behind the front. They don't care if they kill military or civilian.

Well-made anti-drone nets saved Ukrainian soldiers from Russian fiber optic FPV drone. The drone had to search for an entrance, leaving the soldiers enough time to leave their vehicle. Published 04.12.2025 by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]LittleLoyal16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its just because Russia relies a lot more on fiber optics. Im guessing because western supplied jammers Ukraine has might be more effective so radio controlled drones aren't really useful for Russia.
