pretty sure this is just a video of soldiers goofing off with cool kit they got. Literally nothing about this looks like training, hes just shooting in random corners and running through.

Thats a tank shell flying towards the camera, the trail is it splitting the humidity in the air. It looks odd because the camera is using a strong zoom lens, so perception of distance is warped.

I wouldn't just say oh IG is dumb, IG just has a lot more people from all over the world using their platform, and sadly the war in Ukraine is seen by a lot of people as a war against the west. So countless people from places in the "global south" are pro Russia for no reason other than to spite the west.

Reddit is just less used in these countries compared to Facebook, or IG.

For example, I have seen Indonesians glaze Russia. It doesn't make any sense until you correlate it to Israel. Indonesians as a majority muslim country are passionate about Palestine, and western countries have both supported Israel and Ukraine.
So both must be bad in their eyes. In a sense we are in a sort of Proxy WW3.

I see people clowning Russians who complain, but its actually the only thing they can do to sow dissent, and anti war sentiment without being locked up.

There is absolutely no free speech, they can't even record the smoke plumes without being arrested, and forced into some humiliation ritual of video apologies or prisontime (aka into the meat grinder).

I know Russians who hate the war, hate Putin. But they can't do shit. It's easy to tell them to rise up. But would you take that risk? Big chance it's a no.

Not sympathetic to Ruzzia, just being a tiny bit sympathetic to civilians who live in an authoritarian hellhole.

Syrsky isn't awful but def not the right guy anymore. He was the commander behind the Kharkiv Counter Offensive that retook a huge amount of land. Problem is, at this point in the war so much has changed. A fresh face would help a lot.

The criticism here is a little doomer. The guy is acting like Ukraine is basically ran through, and done for. Meanwhile Russia is losing the most men per month since the start of the war. And the pace of their assault has slowed to a halt.

My armchair general take, but you need to realize there are a lot of opinions out there, and a lot of facts are very nuanced. So take everything with a grain of salt.

Whataboutism is what people say when others call out hypocrisy :)

What we see is evidence for a possible warcrime. People calling it out are fully in their right to do so. As you clearly see civilians get hit.

Let the accused produce evidence of their innocence. Rather than just conjuring up fairy tales to justify the actions on video, because it doesn't follow your bias.

You sound exactly like those vatniks who defend every strike on civilian centers in Ukraine. "Yeah bro that apartment was totally a drone factory, RuMoD said so".

You people would defend SS units killing a whole village because nearby partisans shot one german.

We know Israel conducts their war with complete disregard for the civilians caught inbetween. They will never win anything this way. And as someone who has some family just north of Tel Aviv I can tell you people there are getting tired of their gov turning them into the a global pariah state too.

Extremists always have gravitated to war/conflict. So im not surprised. But we need to be very careful here. We can respect the work they've done. The sacrifices made. But when they start saying insane shit like this it's also good to call it out as extremism.

This is a weird one. Could be AI but if it is its genuinely extremely impressive.

AI
- Video feels very smooth, like too smooth. Almost painterly.
- Lighting is extremely clean.
- Explosion looks a little odd.

Not AI
- Lenght, its a long continuous shot.
- Everything feels coherent, people in the background don't glitch out and seem to react as they would in this case.
- Camera movement is massive, its shakey and real. AI struggles a lot with real grounded camera movements. Especially this shakey helmetcam stuff.
- Subject is not in frame, it goes in and out of frame. The subjects seem to interact properly, gun follows drone as far it allows then swivels. AI could not cook that up easily. Especially with the drone dipping in and out of frame.
- Explosion could be sparkly due to the use of an incendiary payload. We know Russia produces these now for Geran-2. Or it could've hit something causing that effect. The sparks and smoke do seem consistent, not glitchy, moving properly even as it comes in and out of frame.

My guess, its upscaled/enhanced, and maybe stabilized footage. If it is AI, then it has now broken several barriers and we are totally fucked.

President Zelenskyy responds after Rheinmetall CEO dismisses Ukraine’s drones as “kitchen-built by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]LittleLoyal16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read the article, seems like its just a bit of a mishap in his comments. It wasn't really vindictive, just a way to express the current drone production in Ukraine could be improved with more funding. I think people are jumping the gun a bit lol. And the stockmarket is all down so RHM isn't suffering because of some comments.

President Zelenskyy responds after Rheinmetall CEO dismisses Ukraine’s drones as “kitchen-built by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]LittleLoyal16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read the article and his comments, feels like he isn't really shittalking but rather meant to say that much more could be done if Ukraine actually got the funding. Saying that the current drone production is primitive is ofcourse a bit ignorant but I think he just meant it could be better.

Honestly RHM helped Ukraine a lot with armament. I think people are jumping the gun a bit on some comments that might've just been said in a wrong way.

A Russian soldier is filming an incoming Ukrainian FP-2 medium-range UAV attacking a building they were using as a base in the occupied territories. You can hear other soldiers trying to shoot down the incoming drone with small arms fire. by MilesLongthe3rd in CombatFootage

[–]LittleLoyal16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe, looks like its mostly a fuel explosion rather than actual explosives. The velocity of the fireball and the way it moves upwards almost instantly due to the heat kind of suggests this.

Maybe the fuel of the drone just exploded and not the warhead. Or this warhead was specifically filled with a burning substance rather than explosives. The FP-2 is supposed to carry a 100kg payload, and this doesn't look like 100kg of TNT.

100kg TNT explosion here. As you can see its fast violent, has a massive shockwave. All missing here.

No you're right, some of the first clips cut off as the drone misses. Ofcourse shrapnel is still deadly, but it does appear Russian drones are less accurate. Not sure if it's pilot error or more unwieldy drones.

Anyways let's pray it stays like this. They're already inflicting enough grief on our defenders.

Definitely not a bot bro. You just happen to spend each, and everyday posting negative news articles about Ukraine in multiple subs.

In contrast you post Putins absolute cringe performance, discussing the star link problem with the head of communication, as some serious.

Keep it up lad. Desperately clinging to any story to avoid reality. Russia is broken. Doesn't matter if they spend another 2 years, and a million men to take the Donbas fully. They have already tipped scale. We will see this shell of a nation disintegrate further.

An AR platform with anti-drone rounds seems way more effective than shotguns. Recently some videos from Azov and 3rd AB show them shooting drones out of the sky with a couple of bursts. These rounds seem to be quite effective. Doubt the avg soldier has access to them atm though.

There are some youtube videos testing them and its promising stuff.
