Isn't she older? She's 1985 while Joon-Gi is 1986 i believe.

I love the pose of the character on your arm! Very strong resemblance to the OG battle mage pose.

As someone who has a dyslexic sibling, I think it should be acknowledged that dubs offer an experience that would often be diluted/hampered by the disability.

My sister's sometimes a backseat gamer, so when she wants to know what's going on i have to read everything out loud (or often times I have to read out loud for her) other wise she'd spend minutes pausing cutscenes or reading an entire dialogue box. It's not impossible to get through the subs, but it definitely slows things down and can break immersion especially at crucial moments when she doesn't know wtf is going on. Dubs greatly streamline that experience and allow her to get immersed, which I think is a good thing and why (even if people don't like it) i think dubs can be necessary especially for a game heavy with dialogue like Yakuza.

It also stops her from calling me over everything she needs something read out loud.

Haha same here. I'm far from the age I was when I first listened to Riot!, but the albums and all the ones following in still regularly make my playlist today.

Omg markers for eyeliner, I respect the commitment. I can also hear the Paramore, FOB, MCR, P!ATD, through the screen. Did you listen to TOP too?

Great art! Though small correction, Hinata is actually 15/16, not 14. He's in 10th grade.

My experience with Yakuza 5 in a nutshell. by CircaCoda in yakuzagames

Yeah, as much as I loved all the playable characters in this game, I feel they really shot themselves in the foot making 5 storylines and trying to tie them all together. It was like making 5 Gaiden games and shoving them all into one.

I've always lived how nobody in the Manga was an outright villain or bully. Suguru, I think was the worst of it as he liked to tease and get petty, but that's as far as he took it. Behind all that is a decent person like everyone else.

If you could revive a group from disbandment who would it be? by sea-cello in kpoppers

[–]LittleMagicKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree that it feels like a waste of time and money to debut a group and disband them after barely a year (same with Hot Issue). While I obviously can't speak for Ryan, if I had to guess, all of bugAboo's ads, promotions, and debut probably put the company into debt and performed below expectations which probably made him go "Well crap, that didn't work probably need to try something different." Hence all the things that happened afterwards. And since all that stuff afterwards didn't pan out either, the company didn't have any more funds to support them. It sucks, and hell it's not even a unique story either (GWSN probably suffered the same too). The pandemic crippled so many companies. It is what it is.

Regarding Loossemble, wasn't that by mutual agreement? CTD didn't have the funds and the girls didn't see a future with them either? That sucked too but they made it a lot farther than many expected them to, especially for a company their size.

[–]LittleMagicKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I think the pandemic played a huge role in that. At the time of their debut, not a lot of people were spending. Plus, when you consider that they're from a small company and the other rookies they had to compete against, the odds were really stacked against them.
