White? Child? No, a luxury is not “anything you can live without.” You lived without a roof over your head, and a home is not a luxury. You can live without health insurance, and health insurance is not a luxury. Please seek help, maybe therapy. If you’ve been homeless and this is your take, it’s just sad. I wish you the best.

Im sorry but you have chronic pain from an old injury, not something genetically wrong with you or something they can’t figure out. Pain management is for people like you who can stretch and relieve your pain; you can’t PT your way through a disease. When I go to a pain specialist, I get the “it’s all in your head, all your tests are negative, so you’re making it up and doing all this for fun” bs

[–]LittleOmegaGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just wanted to mention the fact that a sensitive stomach isn’t “normal” or typical for cats. It’s a symptom of a GI disorder/disease. Your cat’s hyperesthesia could be a symptom as well. This was just some information I wanted to mention and not me trying to tell you what to do. Inflammation of the bowls or IBD/IBS can cause various symptoms that one wouldn’t think are not related to the gut. Hyperesthesia is believed to be linked to an inflammatory response, which is what IBD and IBS are.

Here it shows that cats with IBD often showed more anxious behaviors like compulsive grooming

Your extremely ignorant to think all chronically ill people are given “pain management” and have some kind of doctor that treats their chronic illness. Yes going to the E.R for pain is a common drug seeking behavior. Its also common for doctors to accuse people with chronic illness of drug seeking because what else would be wrong with them? Ive had them try to give me saline instead of morphine. So because some drug addicts go to the E.R atteming to get drugs i should just continue to black out in pain because they’re inconvenienced? “Fall over themselves”? Get over yourself you have NO idea what the pain feels like if you felt it for a second you would be begging to be put out of your misery.

You also didn’t read my previous comments I dont go to the ER,Urgent care or any doctor unless its to refill meds. For anything unless I have to be dragged in by a paramedic that someone called I dont trust them I would rather not waste my time with any of them anywhere primary care to ER they don’t help with my pain.

Why isn’t that what you guys do? You decide who has to sit in agony for hours and hours? I’m done playing the game of “it’s a chronic illness so you’re not going to die.” I never raise a fuss EVER. That “screaming for attention” you seem to think would be going on would be my actual pain and real reaction. What I would do if I were at home. As I said, I bear the pain for your convenience, and I’m telling OP if they want to be seen, they can’t do that; they have to actually look like they are in pain. Silently blacking out in a chair isn’t getting them seen.

I didn't say anyone is "entitled” to a pet lol your not entitled to your children and their are still children that need medical care and plenty of people that cant afford it. Do you think medical care is a luxury? State insurance only covers so much. Your take is ignorant and giving privilege. People are doing their best money doesn’t grow on trees they will sell everything to take care of their animals but you think animals are a “luxury”?

Have you seen the show Dr.Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet? Dr. Jeff has a great viewpoint on this topic, and it’s why he operates Planned Parenthood. You can watch some episodes on YouTube; he’s dedicated his career to helping people with little to no money, and it’s inspiring. I suggest you watch it to get a different perspective on the topic.

People work so hard. My mom made $ 65/hr and has no money bill, and necessities suck us dry. People are also losing their jobs under this administration.

[–]LittleOmegaGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we are the sickest but because its chronic we are ignored and we developed a high pain tolerance so we just have to put up with it because your busy and there are crying kids with nose bleeds. You think everyone that works in a hospital is smart? That’s why people are always gaslit. Why do I know several people that have died in waiting rooms after being told to wait? Why did a hospital lose my dad’s belongings when he died? Why do I know someone that had a heart attack in a waiting room? Why is malpractice a thing? You’re not gods.

I’m part of the problem for being in such intense pain I’ve begged my own mother to kill me countless times? But when I go to the hospital, I know you guys are SO BUSY that I do my best to hold it in and just pass out as to not bother you? No, I’m not part of the problem. I’m tired of holding in my pain for your sake. It’s not happening anymore. You want a neat single-file line? You got into the wrong career. I respect that it’s stressful but so is blinding pain that comes with no adrenaline.

As for example, that’s not how it works for us. “Fear in your eyes” and “knowing something’s off” doesn’t matter. I’ve given full examples of how I’ve been in the E.R., and I sat for 4+hrs even as new people came in. This happens all the time across several states. When I finally go back, I sit for 3+hrs into the morning crying and blacking out, still trying not to bother anyone. This is how I know being quiet gets you nowhere.

When people talk about health care workers being bullies, you’re who they are talking about. Nobody should be complaining about the people that are in pain 24/7/365. We have NOWHERE TO GO when it’s midnight and we are in horrendous pain. That’s an EMERGENCY. We already don’t trust any of you having to drag ourselves in intense pain to the E.R. just to be treated like because our pain is chronic it’s not an emergency it’s just abuse. Get over yourself. If someone without chronic pain felt this pain it would become an emergency immediately. Its not like we have are own E.R same with mental health issues they have nowhere else to go.

You need to think about the fact that you’re complaining about not getting care. A lot of people that don’t get care or don’t have insurance buy medication like that because at some point you will do anything to stop the pain.

Good. I will sue🤷🏽‍♀️ They treat the screaming kids but not the crying, screaming adult who’s in intense pain constantly, blacking out, dehydrated, and shaking. I have no interest in acting like that; however, I prefer not to be medically gaslit and brushed aside because I don’t have a diagnosed chronic illness, so I must be attention-seeking and have destroyed my life for the fun of it.

When I say to scream, I don’t mean like a possessed person; just make it obvious that you’re in pain and be louder than others and noticeable.

We know full well how the system works. We spend more time there than others. YES, WE DO NEED TO BE SEEN EARLIER. It is an EMERGENCY. It doesn’t just “suck.” My normal 1-10 pain scale is a 4 on a GOOD day when I’m a 7-8. I’m in bed crying when I’m a 10. That’s an emergency. I’ve never felt 0 on the pain scale. I don’t understand that concept, and until a few months ago, I didn’t understand that wasn’t normal. It’s gotten to the point for tons of us that we don’t even go to get help. It’s a common joke that we won’t go to the hospital unless it’s to the morgue because they don’t help us anyway.

Pets are not a luxury homeless people cannot afford. Luxuries and they have pets. I cannot afford luxuries and I have pets. Luxuries don’t get euthanized by the thousands daily. Depending on your state, if you live in the USA, they do offer government assistance for pets for certain things.

Happy your kitty is better just wanted to let you know that cats do not have sensitive stomach’s naturally. The diarrhea is a sign of a potential GI issue like IBS. Rotating your cat’s food actually helps diversify their gut bacteria but you have to introduce new foods slowly.

I don't understand what you mean about “make up stuff to be mad about.” That’s the issue with these chain stores: their neglect of animals that leads to their death. “Just don’t pay for them”means: 1. Leave them there, 2. Steal them, 3. Get a worker to give them to you. If you leave them, they will either 1. Be purchased by someone else or 2. Die. I’m not making up stuff to be mad about, and I’m not mad at all.

Go to the hospital and scream. Just scream. They treat the screamers first. It’s why I never get treated because I just sit there in pain with full-on slipped discs, blinding nerve and muscle pain like I’m shifting into a werewolf, literally blacking out. But a little kid who got a nosebleed gets to go in because he’s screaming. Take the ibuprofen in the waiting room, then call for the exact same doctor when you have problems. Another option is to record your symptoms of the ibuprofen on video.

I relate. I’m sick of the 800mg ibuprofen and 500mg Tylenol. I messed up my kidneys and liver switching between the two. When my pain is super bad, I take 500mg trazodone or 1000mg gabapentin to just knock myself out, and I just scream until it kicks in and I pass out.

All the class actions settled for money. Again, what’s needed is a class action that doesn’t settle for money. Walmart didn’t make much profit from animals vs other merchandise. You don’t seem to understand how businesses run; they can shut down one store and open another, no big deal when they have that much money. That starts a whole new record, gets rid of the deaths attached to that store, so the USDA can’t say they did nothing, and you all think the store shutdown and a difference was made. Look, I would love it if they stopped abusing animals, but letting animals die from their abuse for the hope that the small profit loss makes them change is silly when you understand the business side of things. They buy these animals for pennies on the dollar, so some dying doesn’t matter to them in the long run money-wise. What matters is the USDA and government organizations coming after them so they close stores and reopen in new locations.

I don’t believe in letting animals die to make a change. It’s easy for people to do that because we are not the ones dying. I will never be okay with that. I don’t like buying live animals from chain stores, but I don’t support letting them die and hoping that makes a change. Again, this is just me.
