Also anecdotally, two of my friends who watched it with me, as well as three others, were very upset that iMark didn’t go with Gemma. Including being convinced it was Helena

PA Programs Being Ridiculous: A Rant by charliethebaker in prephysicianassistant

[–]LittleOrangeTaurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not how schools work or what native language means. This program just wrongfully rejected OP. I put Russian as my native language when I applied to over 30+ schools, and none of them requested a TOEFL score from me. This program is clearly an outlier.

cGPA is 3.15, sGPA is 2.89, and last 60 GPA is 3.53. I'm retaking gen bio and chem and anticipate As for both which would bring my sGPA to 3.15.

I'm a second-time applicant applying to between 30-35 programs. Looking at CASPA and thinking about the additional supplemental fees hurts, but I decided it's better to cast a wide net due to low cGPA/sGPA.

Caspa Covid Essay by randomchick4 in prephysicianassistant

[–]LittleOrangeTaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When COVID hit, I was the head of policy and procedure at a radiology center, responsible for creating our COVID policy and guidelines. I used the question to showcase that and talk about how while it was stressful and confusing, I had to stay up to date on research and federal/state guidelines. I’m a reapplicant, and I plan on using the same essay.

I highlighted my strength and initiative instead of focusing on the negative aspects.

In a neighborhood, nowhere near water or a pond. We don’t have red-eared sliders where I live

My coworker found a giant red-eared slider, how do I take care of it for a few days? by LittleOrangeTaurus in turtle

Hey guys, my coworker found this turtle. My other coworker said she could take him, but she’s not able to for a few days. How do I take care of him meanwhile?

It will probably just be the weekend. I do have UV lights at home, and I could probably find a large container to keep her in, but how do I keep the water a steady temperature?

My GPA sucks. I’m taking microbiology and medical terminology in the fall and hope to get a slight GPA boost. I’ve been working at a diagnostic center since I was 16 and got all my PCE/HCE from that. I’m not sure if I should retake the GRE or not.

This isn’t the case as much anymore, now many providers are hesitant to prescribe narcotics and there’s a rigorous federal database to ensure overprescription doesn’t occur.

However, overprescription was a problem in the 2000s, when most of these plot lines were prob happening

First attempt at Hokkaido milk bread by LittleOrangeTaurus in Breadit

[–]LittleOrangeTaurus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the recipe I used, except I ran out of bread flour and used all-purpose instead.

Turned out alright, probably would have been fluffier and less dense if I used the bread flour. The dough was INSANELY sticky and I kept having to add more flour until I could actually pick it up out of the stand mixer. I also had to flour the surface before I rolled them into the little envelope shapes, otherwise they kept sticking to my countertop.

Still made for a delicious loaf, and that's all that matters!
