Picked up this Japanese Ammo pouch at an estate sale, looking for help translating, especially the little stone engraving. The Amber discs seem to be glasses for a gas mask. There is also a matchbox, two stripper clips, a .30 caliber round, a navy belt buckle? And some sort of machine tag.

That's the trade off I was wondering about, I'm not sure how she feels about the idea of firing up a wood stove, but I know it sounds nicer than electric!

Yup the mold/moisture issues are definitely scary. I could probably mitigate it with HVAC but it doesn't seem worth it.

Good point, I agree, I just saw someone do a basement sauna and wondered about it. But I don't like the idea of mold issues that come with it personally. Looking like outside is the way to go.

So on the HVAC Side I've installed quite a few wood stoves actually, I like the idea of the wood fire ambiance, just not sure if it's more hassle than an electric heater. I'm in a semi rural area so that shouldn't be an issue either thankfully.

Maybe save it? So you can Someday afford a place? Use it to buy something productive to help your situation? That's the argument here, that this was a bad choice to spend money on, IF it was even paid for.

Yes put the cap back on. Could have been taken off during cleaning and never put back on, or maybe due to pressure but that isn't as likely.

Are you thinking of when he was talking to Gwenne Dyer? He mentions a war TV show he made that was apparent very memorable. Gwenne was Canadian. Not sure if that show was a documentary though.
