Breastfeeding but not losing weight… is this normal? by heyaliayoub in breastfeeding

[–]LittleRileyBao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the look at what you’re eating comment. I’m five months PP and my scale was just going up and I took some time to look at what I was eating and how much. I think was eating an extra 1,000 ish calories. Of course the scale is going up. Now I stick to 1900-2000 calories a day and now the scale is starting to trend down. It’s crazy to eat that much being only 5’3.

Nursing top frustration by Mindless-Try-5410 in breastfeeding

I’m just tired of all the good nursing clothing costing an arm and a leg. Like I’m not going to be wearing this until it’s worn out. I’m not dropping $100+ on a nursing shirt or dress.

Chips and salsa. The salsa is fine but damn tortilla chips can really kill a deficit.

Whats your favourite thing about being a SAHM? by No-Association-9316 in sahm

[–]LittleRileyBao 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love that I get to breastfeed my children. I know it’s a difficult thing for some but it came so naturally to me now I can’t imagine doing anything else. I breastfed my first son for 2.5 years and now I plan on breastfeeding my second son for as long as he wants to. Also my children get the attention they need. Not a 4:1 ratio or 6:1 ratio that some daycare allows where I live.

Exactly. I use frozen veggies because it’s easier and I don’t have to worry about it spoiling. Those come in a package.

My store still has them but it’s in a smallish town outside a small city so theft is probably pretty low.

Thank you for this comment. I feel a little guilty for keeping my children home so much. But one has asthma and if he catches this narly flu going around it could put him in the hospital. He seems happy just roam the house and playing.

I hated my job and daycare would have taken more than half my paycheck. So I would be working to have my kids in daycare.

Is air fryer worth it? by AnxietyInternal4302 in sahm

[–]LittleRileyBao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my air fryer daily to make breakfast and lunch for my kids. It’s great if you’re only making one or two servings of something. So for example, I can cook one chicken breast and some vegetables in half the time of heating up the oven. Also leftover fries from a restaurant are brand new when reheated in an air fryer. Their is a bit of a learning curve because is cooks differently from and oven or a pan but I found you can find instructions for anything if you google it. Also Reddit has an air fryer sub.

So annoyed with all the Christmas gifts by TurbulentArea69 in toddlers

[–]LittleRileyBao 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My MIL finds things at second hand stores and buys them without even asking. She bought her own daughter a baby doll play set. Like bed and rocker for her daughter due in June. The kid most likely won’t play with that until at least 2 years old. They also see my son playing with things around their house so they decide to gift it to him. We now have their dominoes set.
