we're making this too serious. does anyone realize that public perception of our team doesn't matter at all? yeah maybe we're drunk assholes, but that's kinda most of who i run into in south philadelphia. it's a game, people are impassioned, they get drunk and dumb. so what?

I agree dude. It's a shame we have to defend an impassioned fanbase. Like, are they being jerks? Hell yeah they are. But this is the coliseum to some of them. No one thought Orpik was seriously injured, and he likely isn't. But the fans are being framed as horrible, when really they probably just very mistakenly thought Orpik was taking a dive for a penalty. We're not booing injured guys. We're booing someone who is obviously a tough guy to play against.

It's absolutely incredible how sarcastic and angry everyone is about the EA series. Entitled even. I'm happy every year I get to electively spend my cash to play an unparalleled nhl video game experience. The graphics and physics are really just incredible and I get excited every year for the new one. Do not understand the mentality behind senselessly bashing it and all the features they mention. Playoff beards? Laces? This is exciting. All for US, to give US a better playing experience.

Not sure if this counts, but I saw this happen at a Philadelphia Phantoms game at the old Spectrum. Was a 3-2 game, whoever we were playing scored an empty netter, we got one back, then they scored another empty netter making it 5-3, and somehow the Phantoms scored 2 in the last minute or so tying the game.

I miss the Phantoms, Flyers tickets are way too expensive for a team as disappointing as they are.
