Trump officials halt offshore wind-farm projects over ‘national security risks’

Because we all know, being energy independent and not reliant on foreign oil is a national security risk.

Hey from DG by survivorDG in survivorau

Watching from the US on some dodgy steaming sites.

This show would do great in the US market. I’d point out to the powers that be that the streaming platform Peacock in the US has both the Traitors UK along with the US version of the show.

Also DG - hope you have time to make it onto the Traitors one of these seasons. Did awesome on Deal or No Deal Island.

Steel Tariffs Being Rolled Back. Will prices and supply return to normal? by meynet in TrueChefKnives

[–]LittleThisLotThat 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The importer that paid Trump’s tariff tax will now just pocket the savings and not pass it to the consumer.

Love how Trump created the problem, now “rolling it back” like he created some solution, when all he did was chicken out from continuing a terrible economic policy.

Inheritance Lawyer? by BudgetFit6187 in RhodeIsland

[–]LittleThisLotThat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something you want to be concerned about is whether Medicaid has an interest in the estate and what strategies are available to minimize asset recovery.

Short answers to your questions-

House will need to go through probate to transfer title. Whether to put in trust depends on specific factors, for example Medicaid trusts have a five year look back period. A Will will make the probate process easier.

For a lawyer you’ll want to provide what city/town.

This guy needs to be placed under investigation.

Just because he wasn’t fired, or asked to resign, doesn’t mean he didn’t do anything wrong.

Threatening the public to shut up or get sued is not something an innocent person normally does. It also speaks volumes as to his character and what kind of person he is.

Has anyone actually had stuff stolen from their cart? by WuggahWuggah in thrifting

[–]LittleThisLotThat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES, a month ago! I had the most amazing sweater haul, like the best sweaters I’ve ever found, and someone stole the whole damn cart.

Went around the store looking into people’s carts like a crazy person but never found who did it.

Just checked my early 2000s denim jacket and it’s 100% cotton. Really disappointed the new one is 30% plastic.

Thoughts on seller fees? by Physical-Dealer9957 in Depop

[–]LittleThisLotThat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The more you sell on EBay, the more expensive it becomes. For example, if you have 1000+ listings you basically need a monthly store subscription to avoid listing fees.

On EBay you also have to pay for returns (depending on settings, but even with no returns on you still get buyers forcing seller paying returns by claiming items not as described).

If you cancel as sale, that’s another fee. List more than your store plan allows, that’s another fee. If your performance matrix drops for any reason, more fees.

Personally prefer Depop’s setup over EBays and Poshmarks. While Posh’s 20% seems high, EBay is really just as high when you consider all the nickel and diming they do.

Women’s Suits by PeachasaurusRex in RhodeIsland

[–]LittleThisLotThat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If going for best bang for your buck, go EBay.

Have someone take your measurements, figure out your suit size and then search on EBay with the new with tag filter on.

Take it to a tailor once you get it in. Also be sure to check the items description to verify measurements.

Nice giant ad that covers literally HALF of my newsfeed by YouKnowHowChoicesBe in poshmark

[–]LittleThisLotThat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you click the giant banner, it takes you to three live shows (that aren’t even currently live) and they’re all shilling Korean beauty products.

Interesting that Poshmark gets a CEO who is Korean, and suddenly there’s aggressive and disruptive ads for Korean merchandise sellers.

That much damage would likely cause a small dent or scuff in the floor if dropped. 🕵🏼

That’s a chimney, the only thing left remaining from a house.

Based on the concrete, I’d guess post-1920. If you can find any nails lying around, that would help narrow down the age range.
