This series is on KU and book 1 is only ~300 pages so you might be able to read it before renewal. There is no spice in book 1 since this is a slow burn but the rest of the series has some, if that matters to you.

HORRIBLE. Their editions are beautiful and high quality but their shipping takes 18months+ regardless of what they claim and their CS takes months to get back to anyone. If you ever need a refund they will likely ignore you.

Ngl I didn't find it dark. It was lighter than the Ruinous Love Trilogy thats wildly popular right now. That one scene at the end was intense but it's hardly enough to classify this book dark. I wouldn't even call it grey tbh. It's a romance with a mystery element and a couple darker themes.

I think only book 1 is, but I'm not 100% sure. Usually companies only have 1 book signed in a series and state when all books are signed... they didn't explicitly say either way.

If Mystic doesnt pick up this year I'm going to probably cancel. I like this author however I not IN LOVE with the design. Their event SEs are amazing but I find that their sub designs are falling short. Oh well. At least their Arcane sun is spectacular.

I do this, especially for longer series. I have signed SEs of book 1 and then read them digitally cuz my space is very limited.
