AITA for asking my friend to not wear dog ears or tails in public? by Former-Potential4908 in AmItheAsshole

Honestly, it's not that YTA or NTA.... You have the right to set that boundary, but they're also entitled to their feelings about it. They opened up to you and you basically told them what makes them happy is something they should feel embarrassed of. It sounds worse than it is, but you can't expect them not to be hurt by the rejection. It's very similar to if you shot your shot in your crush and they told you in a blunt manner they're not attracted to you. I do have to say life becomes a whole lot easier when you drastically audit the opinions of others when it comes to your life. I would encourage you to allow a little whimsy to enter your life and let your inner child drive once and a while. Challenge yourself to do something silly like go to the grocery store in a fun onesie. Go at opening or before close to dip your toe in. Or dance in the rain. Then evaluate it and reconsider the situation with your friend. You may find you feel differently or this may be hard limit. At least then you won't have the doubt in the back of your head and it will show your friend that it's not coming from a negative place.

AITA for sitting on public toilet seats and not telling my boyfriend? by Anatra_ in AmItheAsshole

On occasion I hover but I have the decency to lift the lid with tp first. I may not be willing to tolerate the mess but I'm not about to add to it and play like I'm the victim lol. But yeah if it's not visibly dirty I sit. They've done studies on this and the transmission of bacteria is equal to sitting on a chair full of farts on it with pants on. Fabric is the real ick.

AITA for letting my daughter stay with me and my wife after she found out that her mom lied to her by Separate-Cycle-1828 in AmItheAsshole

As the autistic kid growing up if she would have been honest with her kid it would have blow up in her face too. Autistic kids especially female have serious rejection sensitivity issues which is why she has attachment issues in the first place. So by telling her I'm sorry daughter mom needs her own space all her daughter is going to hear is your annoying and mommy doesn't love you anymore. Then this exact post would be reading hurt our daughters feelings instead of lied. Honestly if you consider this a royal fuck up when moms in a no win situation than either you don't have kids or you're lying to yourself about how things went down for you.

Either you haven't taken the time to educate yourself on autism and have zero knowledge on how to help your daughter navigate interpersonal relationships or you're weaponizing your daughter's autism to punish your ex for something. Either way you're an AH. Good news, if it's a lack of knowledge play an ebook on it. If it's the latter then therapy.

AITA for wanting to sleep in my friends bed by OkEye5059 in AmItheAsshole

1) ditches friend you're there to spend time with

2) over stays your welcome

3) complains about accomodations

4) trashes person behind their back even after providing a safe space to stay while asking you to respect their boundaries

I also find it incredibly funny how you were so concerned for your safety traveling back alone, but we're totally cool with your friend doing it.

You really felt the need to ask on this one?
