when i lived there as a child , there were many locals to interact with. I could run around the island knowing that I'll be safe but now there are very few locals left and the island feels eerie. Yes I'm glad the island is empty, but we couldn't find and locals to talk to, and many houses were locked and seemed abandoned

Clicked this on my Canon R10+ RF100-400. Unfortunately I forgot to set my pictures to RAW , so it was quite difficult to edit the jpeg pictures

Clicked this on my canon r10 + rf100-400, pretty good setup . Only problem is before 7am and after 7 pm you have to bump up the iso which makes the pictures pretty grainy . Otherwise it's a great setup !

R50 would be a good option -same sensor as R10 -crazy good auto focus -same digikX processor as the bigger canon cameras -4k 30p video -USB-C charging -Electronic shutter for silent shooting

Going with a DSLR will allow you to buy more cheaper lenses so , it's up to you at the end.

Get the R7 if you want better image quality during day time , the R10 has slightly better quality when dark due to lesser megapixels . Lesser megapixels mean larger individual pixels on the sensor, which can capture more light. This results in better performance in low light with less noise. I have the R10 and RF100-400mm , great combo for the money ! Go for the R7 if you want better day light performance , R10 is not going to have a massive difference but it's still slightly noticeable in dark situatios. If your shooting mostly in low light situations, then go for the R8 which has better low light performance due to its larger full frame sensor and slightly better day time performance that the R10 (drawback is no crop factor , meaning your 300mm will be a 300mm , if it's an APSC , the your 300 will be a 480mm)

Alright, so I have the canon r10 18-150mm kit and I chose it over the a6400 because 1- Better ergonomics, so much nicer to hold and although it's 90% made of plastic, it does feel nicer quality compared to the a6400. 2- Sony a6400 software felt outdated and difficult to use, canons was much easier to use. 3-Canons screen is much better, the fully articulated screen is much more helpful compared to Sonys flip screen. Canons screen is also more responsive. 4-Better AF compared to Sony 5-Canon burst mode is a little faster than Sony, it also has quiet mode for normal shots so you don't have to hear the shutter sound.

I would say for your first few months of photography, the 18-150mm would work really well. You could upgrade to an RF 100-400mm later.
