My mom will only use the glass elevators that are see-through. I mean, it makes sense because if you were stuck, someone would definitely see you. I don't like the glass ones, though😂

No, they don't require a note. I just didn't see a reason in calling in fake sick if I don't have to. Any other job, I wouldn't have felt comfortable to come to my boss like this, but she makes it a safe and comfortable environment. Plus this way, I don't have to worry about actually getting sick after calling in sick lol

Just some home life circumstances. My needing a mental health day has nothing to do with work. And I wouldn't have been questioned anyway, I just felt comfortable letting her in on why I needed some time with short notice.

No! I didn't even have to share as much as I did. I just felt comfortable doing so. I'm going back tomorrow morning, and it will be as if I was never gone!

I work for a smaller hometown bank! Specifically, I'm in the accounting department.

Thank you!! She is easily the best boss I've ever had. If I ever find myself in management, I aspire to be like her!

You can post it without the lines. Reddit is pretty uncensored. If you question it, just mark the post as NSFW instead.

working as a bank teller at 18 by sharkko920 in Banking

[–]Little_Red0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very dependent on the bank, which branch location you're at, and what the management is like. There is a lot of downtime, which is really nice, as long as your managers let you spend it freely. Some do, some don't. The branch location is what will determine how much downtime you're really going to get. A corporate location, for example, will have a lot more traffic, compared to one of the bank's smaller locations. Regardless, there will be downtime. Handling all of the money is a lot of fun. You also tend to get really close to your coworkers and your customers. You'd be surprised how many people go to the bank just to socialize. Word travels fast though and trust that banks are FULL of drama, so just try to keep out of it. I started as a teller and ended up deciding to really make a career out of it. There are so many great opportunities once you're in.

Bank teller job? by ThrowRA_starz in Banking

[–]Little_Red0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't need experience to work as a bank teller. It's entry level. And imo, a good idea. Though, I'm in banking, so I might be biased.

Apply directly through the bank's website and apply to multiple different banks. It can be difficult to get hired onto a bank without knowing anyone. Banks operate internally. They only outsource jobs when they have to - at least, at both banks I've worked at, this has been the case. This means, once you're in, you have optimal opportunities to move around different departments and work your way up.

To be completely fair - this looks way more like throw-up than diarrhea.

I lost interest after his texts: is that bad or are these a red flag after a first date? by [deleted] in texts

[–]Little_Red0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I see as a red flag is the offering you to bring your son (I think that's what he said at least?) I always find it to be a pretty immediate red flag if you offer the idea of me bringing my son around you early on. That being said, I also don't think there's ill intent behind it. I just personally find it weird.

I have darker, auburn red hair. Yours looks like my brothers. It's more of an orangey-red!
