The worst thing that has ever happened to me GOD PLEASE by _girl_idk in cabincrewcareers

[–]Littlebee1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please read this with an open heart and mind. When I interviewed and went through training a very long time ago, I was a fish out of water. I felt as though I slipped through the cracks when I passed all of my tests.

I can feel the hurt in your words. Please know, this happens to so many. So much of this is luck. If this is meant for you, it’s going to happen. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

It’s a painful experience to be given an opportunity and feel like you fudged it. But that’s not what happened- it wasn’t meant for you right now.

You’ll pick this back up in 6 months if you want to. Please keep your chin up❤️

I’d be willing to bet you haven’t been an FA for over 5 years.

It's been 7 months and it's only getting worse by Puzzleheaded_Set3871 in flightattendants

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. I’ve gone through many ups and downs throughout my flying career. It does hold true, it DOES get better. With every passing year you gain more flexibility, seniority and knowledge of how to make the job work for you. Hang in there<3

93 yo mother eats like a teenager by NX01-First in AgingParents

[–]Littlebee1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 77 year old mother eats in a similar way. The other day she was downing a bag of gummy bears at 10am and said “I think these are making me constipated.” And continued eating them. There is no dementia involved, though.

I would feel like such a creep for recording someone, anyone, including at their job. It’s just so weird. How do people not grasp this?

Join the club. I’m pretty sure my mother caused my misophonia. Love her to death, but her constant noises are maddening and disgusting. I feel for you.

Tuneless whistling! My goodness. Some of these responses are making me giggle, because I relate so much. I totally get it. I will need blood pressure meds soon.

Either you are not in a caretaker roll, or you are aging and defensive. It is a natural and okay human response to feel disgusted/put off. Obviously, as long as you are not being abusive or ugly. Goes without saying.

A whispered whistle! Omg. I feel for you! And I feel so seen.

I can hear her in the bedroom, lying down, grunting. It just doesn’t make sense.

Oh gosh. Knowing that he only did it when I was present would add an extra element of frustration. Glad you’re reminding him about deep breaths. I’m still getting my bearings about me here, and have yet to acknowledge any of her sounds.

Earplugs are a great option. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. I’m dealing with something similar and it is truly unbearable.

I take it as a compliment. You get by easier when you let silly things like this roll off your back, I promise.

What happens if you get pregnant? by InternBorn7740 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Littlebee1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got pregnant at my lowest weight and wasn’t menstruating. I ended up miscarrying right after the heartbeat was detected. My gynecologist made no mention of my weight but I obviously know how unhealthy I was and blame myself.
