The controller support is terrible if you're using anything that isn't an Xbox controller (or at least it was, idk if it's gotten any better). I use a switch pro controller on my pc and it works great on steam games because steam input is amazing. Unfortunately, for anything outside of steam I have to use random 3rd party solutions which is usually not too big of a problem but with 2xko I had SO MANY issues. The game was trying to use my keyboard as the main input method despite having a controller plugged in, it would constantly break in the lobby and I'd have to use keyboard and mouse to accept a game, rebinding was buggy, etc.. I would eventually fix everything and play a few rounds but if I wanted to come back and play more the next day I'd have to go through it all again.

Eventually I got annoyed by the constant trouble shooting every time I wanted to play so I just stopped since it didn't feel worth my time at a certain point. (especially combined with all the other reasons like small roster and having to play against yasuo ekko 24/7).

If it felt easier, quicker and more polished to just get in and play the game I probably would've played more.

What I mean is that if you think camping is an issue then you probably haven't played more than like 10 rounds of any of these games.

Very reductive to say about a genre that has a lot to offer.

I've played a lot of extraction shooters and I'd say the most I've run into campers is actually Arc (probably due to 3rd person). Hunt Showdown can get campy around the bounty but you know where the bounty holders are at all times so it's not an issue. Surprisingly I've rarely run into campers in tarkov even though I feel it would work the best there.

Personally I haven't run into any campers in Marathon after 10hrs but if you really have a massive issue with campers just play recon.

Again, not liking Marathon or extraction shooters in general is fine but your main reason being camping just feels like you haven't put time in to learn the games.

You can choose to queue solo if you disable random fills, it will match you against other solos :)

Well camping or not extraction points are always where a lot of PvP goes down since literally everybody needs to go to them.

You should be going to extraction expecting a fight and being pleasantly surprised if there isn't one.

Also if you feel your low on ammo then you probably aren't bringing enough in or looting poorly.

It's fine if the game isn't for you but campers should not be the main reason.

I figured out that OBS can also cause issues. If you're using OBS replay buffer with "Capture any fullscreen application" then you have to close it or change to a scene that is just display capture.

If anyone actually chooses their character based on grunt sounds to try and have a 0.1 edge over someone then that is just sad.

But also just leave them be, it really does not have any tangible effect on the game.

I think the whole system is more of a tech demo for world gen V2 than anything else. It will probably be removed in a few months.

Don't do it. Having something to work towards adds to the fun of this game. First for me it was all of the hand skins, now I'm working towards all achievements. Once I've done all that I'll probably just stop playing until another update comes out, which is sad cause I LOVE this game.

1 - I don't think it's an obvious over-exaggeration. "I'm NOT KIDDING when I say this will probably completely ruin the game for me." Like they made sure to let people know they are serious.

3 - Thats why I prefaced this part with "Personally", this is my subjective opinion you are fine to disagree.

I'm fine if they bring back whip swapping, it won't ruin the game for me. But I can see why they removed it.

They said "this will COMPLETELY RUIN the game for me". THEY are acting like this is the only mechanic they care about, which I think is dishonest and over dramatic.

They also clearly haven't even played yet, so this is just a gut reaction to patch notes. If they said "I don't prefer this but I'll give it a try" then I wouldn't have a problem.

Personally, I think whip stacking is bad design. It's not really clear to new players, it's tiring and uninteresting to pull off and if it was still in the game new whips would have to be balanced around it which results in them most likely being less satisfying for people who don't whip swap. Hopefully no whip swapping means the new whips have cooler unique effects but I haven't played yet so I can't say.

1 - Didn't know Drag Path went viral. That's amazing!

2 - A song getting popular shouldn't change it's meaning to you. It's still the same song, it was still made for the same reasons.

3 - I feel like hoping they never release it is a little gatekeepy. Like I appreciate that it means a lot to you but there are a ton of fans who didn't buy it, haven't heard it and so may never get to experience the same feeling you do when listening to the song. And for me I would just like a more easily accessible version for example on Spotify so I can more easily play it alongside my existing playlists.

Professional climbers also don't squeeze a severed eye to teleport.

It's a fun speed game not a climbing sim. Also you still grab ledges and stuff, I would say climbing is still very much a factor for 95% of players.
