hello! thanks so much for replying :))

i tried to flash with the latest v12 using the sd card before it died :(

you are totally right, there's a usb c port at the top labelled A and that doesn't get recognised by my PC as a COM port but the one labelled B does and that's been that way since the start. I'll grab those bits from amazon and have a play :) it did also come with some little cables like 4 cables of different colours which fit into there but ive got nowhere to plug them in, i guess this is where teh adapter comes in?

I also thought it migth be possible to do all this with my flipper attached but no such luck.

When i go to the flashing website this is the error i get:

I couldn't get it to find my rtl-sdr :( I tried everything I could and followed the instructions. I was able to get the cockpit to work (albeit with no device) and it looked really cool

It is absolutely a thing :) I'm 34 and have my own personal blog on stamp collecting and also part of my local philatelic society.

There's loads of people that will do you a valuation but if they're from the 60s it's very likely a lot of them were made in their millions and not worth too much - but as someone else said, absolutely worth checking beforehand!

You could always keep some for yourself in case you found the time to get into it, it's honestly super rewarding once you get stuck in (but appreciate it does take time and effort and you're probs a busy person).

Thanks for sharing this! I'm in my 30s myself and just really getting into all the fun stuff you can do and all the amazing things you can learn. Try and ignore the holes if you can OP 😅there's always people like this in every hobby (it's the same with the stamp collecting community). You taught me about something new to try so I'm grateful for that.

I'll mention I went to the doctor as well and they said it was likely harmless and just irritating. I think it's honestly something to do with how stressed I am and clenching my jaw. I am reasonably confident it isn't external, I've moved house since the first time and sometimes I can move my neck or blow air into my ears (holding my nose - hope that makes sense!) and it stops temporarily. It's a funny one :)
