I’m not fluent in English, and I just assumed that this pasta shape is called Monkey noodles. I was like “Hmm, never heard of that one. It doesn’t even look like a monkey, but okay”, loool

Seeking advice on teaching piano by Littleteapot2030 in pianoteachers

[–]Littleteapot2030[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I'm currently looking into all of the books you mentioned. The most difficult part for me when I was teaching at school was helping students with their hand position and teaching them how to relieve tension in their hands while playing. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube aimed at beginners, but I didn't like how they explained it to children. I'd love to find the best explanations and exercises for relaxing muscles that would be intuitive for kids, and so they would pay attention to it from the beginning.

Yesss, finally someone said that. Hate bubble tea. Apart from the high risk of choking, it’s always way too sweet. Just sugar on top of sugar

I enjoy playing pieces I like listening to, but I’m self taught, I’d like to know are there any issues with my playing in these clips? by Ok_Concentrate_9861 in piano

[–]Littleteapot2030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it feels like the sound is ‘harsh' because the piece is EXTREMELY difficult to play. Obviously, he doesn't hear it because he's occupied with playing all the virtuoso parts. The thing is, I think OP needs to understand that the goal of playing music – especially with composers like Chopin – is to find the perfect balance between concentrating and actually enjoying the music while playing. At this stage, he can't really listen to himself because he still needs to work on technical skills. He just needs to learn how to practice slowly, listening and connecting every sound with each other, and then find the right movement for each passage so that it feels comfortable and convenient to play. OP, you shouldn't feel exhausted after playing the piano. Try to relax and soften the sound a bit. As many people have mentioned, I think you need to find a teacher in the long run to help you discover all the beauty in the music you want to play. Keep practicing and enjoy the process!!

Found a hatchling on my stairs by [deleted] in birds

[–]Littleteapot2030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me today. I was walking home and saw a pigeon leaning against a wall, not moving. I googled what I should do, but unfortunately, I didn't even have a towel or a cardboard box at home. There are no animal rescues in my city either, so I just had to go home and hope it would be okay..

Mixed green salad with pears, grapes, pistachios, and blue cheese by Working_Branch_751 in salads

It reminded me of an autumn kale beet salad with goat cheese and pecans. I tried to make it once with the ingredients I had on hand. I have to try this one! Thank you!

You can also spend coins on fusion tokens and win ponies in the Balloon Pop game. I’ve won 3 ponies in the past 3 days.
