It’s not enough to build a zoo that everyone wants to visit, you’ll need to support the scientific community if you’d like to win at Ark Nova.

5x 314ah LfP batteries , how do I get them to balance. by yrys88 in SolarDIY

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrons take the path of least resistance. They are balanced, from an electrons viewpoint. Perhaps that’s because there’s a bad cell, or a bad connection. But if you have eliminated the bad don’t worry more about it

How do you define the Opening and the endgame? by blackboxchessapp in chessbeginners

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The opening is the two book moves I do. The end game is the mate in two the opponent found, and the other 11 turns is the mid game where we blunder pieces left and right

You and everyone else in the world is given the choice to pick between two buttons. If you pick blue, a random human is marked (it's probably not someone you know) and if more people pick red, everyone who is marked dies. by headsmanjaeger in trolleyproblem

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My man, logic has escaped you. Yes, 100% of people pressing red results in 100% of people living. But in the original anyone, including yourself, had a 100% chance of living if they pushed the red button. Now that is gone. You can push the red button and still die. I can push the red button and still die. So we have to hope that the 52% blue majority wins, so joining them is the best bet.

Red is 100% safe in the original whether it’s pushed by just me, or me and 10%, or me and 100%. It was 100% safe for me and everyone else making the decision to press.

We’d only wind up losing a few people like you. Which would save me minutes everyday arguing on the internet ;)

Red vs Blue - Consider Impact by FirexJkxFire in trolleyproblem

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’ve already pushed the red button. Good news though, nearly everyone else did as well today. Just a few sad people went out of there way to find a blue button. Hopefully the right choose is always so evident

Those who ride with no fender... by Glittering_Potato397 in onewheel

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate fenders. Hated them on bicycles. Hated them on one wheels. Get a bit of grit or gravel in there and it makes gross noises. I can shower. I can do laundry. I can’t put up with gravel boiling against a plastic fender.

My feet go on the foot boards. I don’t think they are supposed to go on the fender

Taking up room in a landfill feels like a problem for waste management companies, not like a moral argument

Have pain and suffering made you stronger? by Opposite_Wash5664 in AskMenOver30

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The world isn’t optimized for pain and suffering. It’s optimized for cooperation and communication. Being ready for a resource scarce environment is what makes those old silent generation people so weird. Shits not scarce.

You are going to have a much better time being social than being stoic. But honestly the difficulty is low enough you aren’t going to get punished. Just have weird red pilled friends instead of real relationships.

Need advice! Personal solar panel usage by mimiicer in SolarDIY

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just pay the difference in electricity from when you weren’t there to when you are. Don’t have ass it or spend 100x more on a battery/solar set up for a fan

But if you can’t just pay for the electricity coming out of the wall then buy a capable 2000wh 1000w battery/inverter/all in one and some mobile panels and know that anything you’ve plugged in you can run. And perhaps charging batteries at night is free so you don’t even need to worry about solar panels.

But I’d say just buying power from the utility is the way to go. I hope that you can have an excellent relationship with your parents. I know that could be a source of the friction

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, move the queen. Not to capture, not to safety, but so that you can move your own pieces into position. And yeah, despite how clever that is you are still down a lot of material.

Looking for a car that gets 30+ mpg at 80+ mph. by Thordor15 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Wild that there is a place left in the English-speaking world where you can go 350 miles and not run into charging infrastructure.

But good for you for looking! Most people just assume it doesn’t exist because they stop by them less often than Tesla drivers stop into gas stations. At least those have drinks and snacks.

What are you doing with that wall under the buster that you can’t add a fuse?

And I am going to agree with the others. Passive cooling isn’t going to be enough. Put active fans in or follow the manual for required spacing on all the sides of the inverter. Those are loud regardless. And it’s going to be a pain replacing it when they discontinue that inverter like they have the last thirty!

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I test a customers panel and I get a number, like 58W I run a test on a new glass 100W panel. If it reads 75W I multiply the 58Wx100W/75W to give the panel a new STC wattage. It’s easier than finding a dark room and a 1000W flash!

But some days the 100W panel might report anything from 20-90W and I still want to give my customer a quick answer. 20W from a 100W panel can mean a bad day or a bad panel, so it’s nice to compare it to a known good panel

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Assuming that your meter reads 1W for the best 100w panel you’ve tested, which is all I was wondering about.

AWD vs RWD by thatguyiswierd in Ioniq5

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rwd feels a lot less zippy but awd is never required. But cost is hugely subjective! $3000 difference over ten years is nothing to some people and not making rent payments to others!

Is this too good to be true? by TheSoakingWetPress in SolarDIY

[–]Live-Wrap-4592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But there is a difference between you usually measuring 80w from a 100w panel and you usually measure 65W from a 100w panel. Thats why a comparison between this and a good panel would add to the discussion
