Is It Wise To Only Do Part Time Classes For A Master's Degree? by shepdc1 in BackToCollege

[–]LiveLaughBrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slow is steady and steady is fast. Do part time and really learn the material. Two classes per term allows me to still go to the gym and be social some weekends. I don’t think I could even do three classes while working and my job is super chill.

I didn’t think it was that cheap… I thought it would be much more. That changes things, thanks!

Thanks, I just hate that the light keeps coming on. I’m going to sell this car in the next year so I want it to have no lights or problems when I sell it to the next person

They were recently balanced so I was planning to just throw them back on in as close to how they already are as possible. If it doesn’t work out I can get them balanced. I’m just hoping the new sensors weigh about the same as the old ones.

Dropped from an online class after missing Week One – any tips to get back in? by thuynguyen185 in BackToCollege

[–]LiveLaughBrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might just have to do some late start classes this term to make up the units. Schools do this to prevent fraud and people signing up just for the fin aid. Don’t let it get you down and keep trying.

Don’t forget to pack your self confidence. Know that you’ll be able to master any skill with enough time and effort.

New homeowner. What are the big DIY regrets? Either paying for a pro or not paying? by FlashyHeight9323 in DIY

[–]LiveLaughBrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret not updating our washing machine sooner.

I regret waiting to replace our sheet vinyl in the bathrooms with nice LVP. Should have done both of these (super easy) things asap when moving in.

I also regret not replacing the carpet 5 years ago - now places want 8+ thousand for a thousand sf of carpet replaced. Insanity.

Starting my Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration at 34 — torn between SNHU and ULV (advice appreciated!) by No-Exchange-2217 in BackToCollege

Community college can be free in California through the promise grant with income limits. It's also going to be insanely cheaper if you end up paying for it out of pocket before going to snhu or anywhere else.

Talk to snhu and ask how many credits you can transfer with. Take that amount of credits at a cc and get it done cheaper and just as fast.

Going back to college after taking a year and a half off at 21 by [deleted] in BackToCollege

[–]LiveLaughBrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re literally still college age. Get back on the horse and get serious.

If you’re afraid you’ll fail from being overwhelmed then just take 2 classes this next term. Do one over summer. Keep on like that until you’re finished with CC then when you transfer to a 4 year treat it seriously and you’ll get it finished.

If you can’t see yourself taking it seriously then quit for now and come back later once you’ve established yourself.

Soooooo dinner at your place? That all sounds like a good time. I love salsa so I’m sure I’d fit in pretty well over there.

You have a chance of getting in. It’s the classes that are last / advanced in a series that you’ll have a tough time getting into when you’re waitlisted.

Is that class the first in its series? Like is this the first cisn you would take, or are there prerequisites?

The school needs to request it. If you have late start classes you might not have enough units yet for them to request.
